Alison and Josh’s Wedding in Mill Run, Pennsylvania
Alison and Josh were married last Saturday at Grandma’s Gift in Mill Run, Pennsylvania. Inviting their 40 closest friend and family, they celebrated their nuptials with an outdoor ceremony, a fantastic dinner, and a bonfire. They chose to see each other before the ceremony with a “First Look.” They really wanted to attend their cocktail hour, so taking many photos before the ceremony allowed them more time for snacking and socializing……two things that I love to do too. This place was insanely beautiful. They were really happy to be getting married. We went to take some photos by this fence, but the pony was stealing the show. A little laugh…

DeAnna and Tony’s Engagement Session in the Strip District
Oh DeAnna and Tony. When they came over to my home for an interview, the 2.5 hour conversation passed quickly through interesting subjects (for all of us) like their wedding, their friends, and food. They are both foodies and what better place for their engagement photos that Pittsburgh’s center for food–the Strip District. I had an absolutely wonderful time taking these photos. Tony was especially hilarious for some of their first photos. Has anyone seen this mural lately? It’s new (near 20th and Penn) and it’s looking pretty good. But not as good as these two. They are so playful and really enjoy each other. Oh 50mm lens, you are…

Laura and Donnie’s ShotBox
Just when I thought things couldn’t get any better….it was time for ShotBox! This one, for Laura and Donnie at their wedding reception last week. If you’ve been a loyal blog follower, you might recognize them from their engagement session, their fantastic wedding in Hawaii in May, or their wedding album. Imagine my shock, surprise, and excitement when they asked me to bring ShotBox to their wedding reception. Since they had a destination wedding, they still wanted to celebrate with their family and friends here in Pennsylvania. Enjoy some of my favorites from their ShotBox! First, the happy couple! The reception was Sunday afternoon during the Steelers game. These guys…

Katie and Rocco’s Wedding at Southpointe Hilton Garden Inn
On Friday, I joined Katie and Rocco for their wedding in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. After preparing at their parents’ homes, they had a lovely ceremony at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin, and a fun reception at Southpointe Hilton Garden Inn. Katie and Rocco met in high school and both went to college in Boston. Katie was an art major in college, and said the she and Rocco would like some artistic photos at their wedding. I started my day at Katie’s parents’ home in South Park. This is pretty much the scene when I saw Katie for the first time that day. Katie’s dad was banished to…

Katie and Matt’s Wedding at Seven Oaks Country Club
This holiday weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing Katie and Matt’s wedding at Seven Oaks Country Club in Beaver, Pennsylvania. Katie and Matt met and started dating in college. They both share a love of the outdoors, a deep faith, and height. Just kidding about the height! Enjoy some of my favorite photos from their wedding. We met Katie and Matt at the church where they both prepared for their wedding ceremony. Photo by Nicki. Matt and his brother (also Best Man), Dan, anxiously waiting for the ceremony to begin. Thanks to Pastor Cathy Poff for allowing us to take photos during the ceremony. I wouldn’t have liked…
