Ashley and Russ’ Engagement Session at Mellon Park
Ashley and Russ met in high school, but they didn’t start dating right away. They’ve been together for a few years now and they’re planning their wedding for October of 2011. I have photographed a few of their friends’ weddings and I’m thrilled to be photographing their wedding next October. Yay!
We met on Friday for their engagement photos at Mellon Park. I love taking engagement photos at Mellon Park. The walled garden is beautifully restored and well maintained. It looks great at every time of year.
Favorite because of the light:
One of my favorite things about photographing an engagement shoot–or anything–is how I get to run around like a crazy person and the subjects get to relax together. I crawl around…..
Second fave because of the great smiles.
(Note that I didn’t mention the dog that slobbered all over my leg. Whoops!)

The light is lovely in your light-based favorite. But the light in the first photo is such perfect angel light too. My favorite though is #2 because of the gorgeous color of the leaves that so nicely frames them.

i think my favorite is the first one, that angel lighting. i just can’t get enough of it. i like how artistic this shoot looks.
