Michelle and Francis’ Wedding at Pittsburgh’s Grand Hall at The Priory

Michelle and Francis are amazing.  They are super classy and a joy to be around.  They both love dancing, physical fitness, and each other so much.  Maybe I’m biased because they both work as engineers and met during college (as Ryan and I did).

Since I met Michelle this spring, I was looking forward to their wedding day at Pittsburgh’s Grand Hall at the Priory-a location that they both really love so much-and Saint Joseph Parish on Dorseyville Road.  When I asked her what they liked to do together, she answered that they liked to workout and go dancing.  They LOVE dancing.  They wanted to dance all night at their wedding.  And last Saturday, they did!

First, some push-ups before Michelle put on her dress.  Michelle trains at a Cross Fit gym….so her push-ups are quality.

Strong AND ridiculously beautiful!   Hair by Dean Salon of Shadyside.

Ryan spent some time with Francis and the groomsmen.  First, by running around the back to let them into the church.

These next two photos had the same time stamp.  The first photo by Ryan, the second by me.  Francis was reading a very personal, touching three page wedding-day letter written by Michelle.

……And Michelle is enjoying herself and her wonderful bridesmaids in the limo!

Pulling up to the church

I don’t know what Michelle wrote in that letter, but Francis was very emotional throughout the ceremony.

So beautiful!!!

After some family photos, we drove to Pittsburgh’s North Shore for some bridal party photos.  Because the Pitt Football game was letting out, we had some trouble getting there, but Francis got out of the limo and convinced the traffic officer to let us get to PNC Park.

This photo is amazing!!!

During our walk back from the Roberto Clemente Bridge to the limo parked near 1st base, tons of motorists and pedestrians were shouting words of congratulations for Michelle and Francis.  This was one of my favorite parts of the day.

They are so classy.  These Penn Staters will even high five some Pitt fans.  High class.

Wow!  Michelle’s flowers by Jim Ludwig’s Blumengarten Florist.

Michelle, this one is for you since you said it was one of the photos you were the most excited about.

And in they went to enjoy their reception at  Pittsburgh’s Grand Hall at the Priory.  Their first dance.

After dinner and fantastic cake by Oakmont Bakery, Coda DJ kicked off the dance party. They were also joined by Videographer Bob Hartnett of All Pro USA.

Since Michelle and Francis were the most excited about seeing dancing photos, I tried to include a lot here.  Since they were on the dance floor together all night, this was an easy task.

Michelle had two bouquet tosses.  One to the single ladies.

And one to the married ladies.

Man, they are great dancers!

Fave!

Congratulations, Francis and Michelle!!!  I really hope that it was “hands down, the best day of [your] life!!”

You know, it’s really not fair. Every week you post amazing wedding photos and it gets harder to come up with the right words to describe how good they are. And then you go and share images like these, which just blow me away with their excellence. I think this is my favorite set of your photos from this whole year. So much spontaneous joy and happiness in every one. I don’t think I have enough time to try to pick a favorite… so I’ll just say that the lighting in the very last one, with the balance of ambient light around the ceiling, the centerpieces and the dance floor knocks my socks off.
