Laura and Colin’s Wedding at Allegheny College
Laura and Colin were guests at Colin’s cousin’s wedding last year where I unknowingly auditioned for the position of their wedding photographer. I love when a client can see me in action and know what I’m just the person they want to have photograph their wedding. Last weekend, their wedding was finally here!
Laura and Colin met when they were students at beautiful Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. On Saturday they married on their old college campus in a fantastic celebration with their family and friends. Their ceremony was held at Ford Chapel on the campus followed by a reception at Iroquois Boating and Fishing Club.
They had one of the most unique wedding invitations I’ve seen. This was so simple and beautiful, hand drawn by Shannon Merenstein.

They are so happy and SOOO easygoing!
One pose, two photos. Photo below by Ryan.
Gorgeous!
This gloomy day allowed some gorgeous photos! It was so great to be near Conneaut Lake.
Their first dance at Iroquois Boating and Fishing Club was to “The Sunshine of My Life” by Stevie Wonder.
Some friends asked Laura and Colin to come outside for “some photography surprise.” While I’m not afraid to ask a couple outside for sunset photos, their awesome friends were looking out for them tonight.
Laura and Colin were most excited about “the party.” Dancing with their friends was the part of the wedding day they were most excited to experience. DJ Ed Cyphers from Sounds Like Fun provided the entertainment.
There are a LOT of great dancers in this group.
A young staff member brought a mop to clean a spilled drink (or two or three). Time for mop dance party.
Last dance!
Congratulations, Laura and Colin!
