Erica and Matt’s Wedding at the Heinz History Center
Erica and Matt planned a storybook wedding. They described the details of their wedding when we met for their engagement photos last fall – their church, black and white wedding colors with pink (Erica’s favorite color) accents, shoes she saw on my website, and the best reception location in Pittsburgh– The Senator John Heinz History Center.
Their story together began when Erica and Matt started dating in college and entered a new chapter on Saturday. They were married in a wedding ceremony at St Paul’s Episcopal Church in Mt Lebanon followed by a fantastic wedding reception in the Great Hall at the Heinz History Center.
I loved this bridal room. I had no idea it would be this beautiful in the back of the church.

Erica looked absolutely beautiful!
See me creeping in the lower right hand corner?

Oh that pink taxi!
One of the best parts about the Heinz History Center is the endless number of cool exhibits. These kites are from the traveling Benjamin Franklin exhibit open until the end of July. I LOVE these kites!
Erica and Matt are huge Steelers fans so it seemed appropriate to join all of these fans in their best attire.
Their grand entrance….
Their first dance song played by Uptown Rhythm and Brass
And two really special parent dances
Some of the guys spent a lot of time on this balcony checking out the dance floor.
Uptown Rhythm and Brass did a great job keeping the dance floor full all night. My favorite cover was of “My Old School” by Steely Dan. It was fantastic!
Congratulations, Erica and Matt! Nicki and I hope that you have a great honeymoon and a great new life together as Mr. & Mrs.!!

Beautiful! My favorite would have to be the one in front of the kites where the newlyweds are looking at each other. I love the combination of the cool colors and the warm expressions. Nice!
