Kacey and Nate’s Enagement Session in Aspinwall
Kacey and Nate are my neighbors in Aspwinall. They love Aspinwall; I love Aspinwall. Though they live in an apartment now, but Kacey lived on my street for ten years while she was growing up. I didn’t live here at that time, but it would have been cool to be her neighbor. I’m pretty sure that they contacted me after doing a search for local photographers. I’m so happy that they did!
Kacey and Nate met when they were in business school together at West Virginia University. Together they enjoy running, working out, and cooking on their barbeque grill. When I met them for an initial interview, I mentioned the concept of the “First Look” where they would see each other (and take all of their photos) hours before their wedding ceremony. They were totally sold on this concept, so excited, and they made me feel like I invented it, which I did NOT. All of this excitement certainly spread over to me and I’m thrilled to be a part of their wedding next September.
I take walks in my neighborhood all of the time and was excited to finally have great clients to photograph at some of my favorite spots.
Did I mention how cute things are in Aspinwall?
We made a second stop at Salamander Park in Fox Chapel. This is the exact spot where Nate Proposed to Kacey. On the day of their engagement, they took a walk together in this park for the first time. Not knowing where Nate was going to proposed, he lucked out when they came to this footbridge.
Congratulations, Kacey and Nate! I’m thrilled to work with you at Succop Conservatory next summer.

Dear Randi…you make Aspinwall look AWESOME!I lived close by for three years and I know where all those places are…what a beautiful job. I agree that the choice of lenses was wonderful and my fav of course is…(drums)…the shot of them on the sidewalk with all the trees around (8th from top)..another great job.

I like the black and white one against the brick wall and the one where you guys are sitting on the stoop and it looks like Nate is eating your face a little – but in a cute way! They are so great and I love the outfits! CAN NOT WAIT for the wedding!

Excellent work. My favorite are the ones where the couple are sitting in front of what looks like a coffee shop and the one where they are framed by the trees, while they are on the sidewalk. Awesome work. Oh, and I love the location.
