Rachel and Bary’s Engagement Photos at Mellon Park
Rachel and Bary considered many photographers before choosing us to be their wedding photographer. I’m not sure how many interviews they went on, but It seems like somewhere in the 20-25 range. So I’m very honored, humbled, and a tad nervous (in the good way that I am excited to work hard for my clients) to photograph their wedding next June. As Rachel and Bary both live out of town, currently in separate cities, we made some time together on Black Friday for their engagement shoot. We began at their (and my!) alma mater, Carnegie Mellon. After a quick stop to the place where they had their first kiss, we…

Turkey Bowl 2011
Happy Thanksgiving! It’s time to celebrate our fifth annual Turkey Bowl. This blog did not exist for the first two Turkey Bowls, but Turkey Bowl 2009 was awesome. Those were some of my favorite shirts, being black & gold and all. Last year, Ryan and I were in Minnesota for a snowy, icy Turkey Bowl so I missed out on the 40F and rainy Turkey Bowl here in Pittsburgh. No fear, we’re back home this year for my favorite event on my favorite holiday. And it was sunny!!! Nicki always wears the most ridiculous best outfits. Rock, paper, scissors fail. This one is for you, Dad. The purple team was stacked.…

Best of The Knot 2012
During my vacation last week, I once again found out that Randi Voss Photography was selected at a 2012 pick for The Knot Best of Weddings. This means that brides from this year have written rave reviews about our photography work. And the knot has reviewed those comments and selected us as one of the best on their website. We are so honored to receive this since it comes directly from our clients. Thank you all! Special thanks to those clients who took their time to write such kind reviews. Also thank you to Nicki, Ryan, and everyone who helped out this year.

Alicia and David’s Wedding at the Renaissance Hotel Downtown Pittsburgh
When we were working together for their engagement shoot, Alicia and David each told me that they had very expressive and emotional families. They also said that they wanted to have a “First Look” before their wedding ceremony but were still looking forward to seeing each other as Alicia and her dad came down the aisle of the church. Alicia and her bridesmaids got ready at the Renaissance hotel where Alicia and David would later celebrate with their wedding reception. Alicia and her mom share a happy moment just before Alicia gets into her stunning wedding dress. Alicia and David have a First Look on the patio just outside of…

Jen and Dave’s Engagement Photos at Schenley Park in Pittsburgh
Jen and Dave picked the perfect time and date for engagement photos. Pretty amazing since they chose this day way back in August. I also photographed two other lovely couples on this day, but neither of them had sunny skies like Jen and Dave. It must be luck! Believe me, if I could control the weather I’d be making a lot more money and certainly become some kind of corrupt crazy person. Jen and Dave met through mutual friends a few years ago. They really enjoy Pittsburgh sports and I’m sure they’ll continue to do so in their new home–Columbus, Ohio. Here are my favorite photos from their beautiful fall…
