MMMMMM cookies. I love to bake cookies. One of my favorite parts of baking is learning old family recipes from the pros that have made them for so many years. Pierogi from my paternal Grandma (and my dad), ladylocks from Aunt Carol, and now Cold Dough Cakes from my maternal Grandma. From my internet research, these cookies are known by many names, but I know them as the little rolled cookies with apricot or walnut filling. There is technique in the dough preparation and in the cookie formation–family secrets that aren’t found in a cook book, but made only by closely studying the experts.
