Jen and Dave’s Engagement Photos at Schenley Park in Pittsburgh
Jen and Dave picked the perfect time and date for engagement photos. Pretty amazing since they chose this day way back in August. I also photographed two other lovely couples on this day, but neither of them had sunny skies like Jen and Dave. It must be luck! Believe me, if I could control the weather I’d be making a lot more money and certainly become some kind of corrupt crazy person. Jen and Dave met through mutual friends a few years ago. They really enjoy Pittsburgh sports and I’m sure they’ll continue to do so in their new home–Columbus, Ohio. Here are my favorite photos from their beautiful fall…

Cassandra and Jim’s Engagement Photos at Mellon Park
Cassandra and Jim met in college. After graduation, their jobs took them to different states–Cassandra to New Jersey and Jim to Connecticut. Right now they are planning their wedding in a third city, Pittsburgh, of course. While I’m sure that long distance wedding planning from two separate cities in a third city is no picnic, it will bring them one step closer to joining their lives together. Last weekend, they traveled to Pittsburgh for their engagement photos at Mellon Park. It was my first time meeting them, but the session felt like we were already friends. Cassandra and Jim are so lovely and I’m thrilled to be their wedding photographer…

Marciela and Teo’s Engagement Photos at Carnegie Mellon University
Marciela and Teo met when they were both students at Carnegie Mellon University. The first time they met, it was the beginning of the school year when Teo and his roommates boisterously appeared inside of her dorm room to greet their new RA, Marciela. A few months later, Teo asked Marciela out to dinner. She agreed but didn’t realize until half way through the date that he had asked her on an official romantic date. Such a familiar CMU story, but this one has a happy ending as they both really like each other and are planning their wedding for April 2012. We met at their meeting place, CMU’s campus…

Kristin and Matt’s Wedding at the Pittsburgh Renaissance Hotel
Kristin and Matt are high school sweethearts whose relationship survived the long-distance trials of going to different colleges. While they are both from Pittsburgh, they currently live in Philadelphia. Matt proposed to Kristin while they were traveling together in London–how romantic! Kristin and Matt are super happy people who had a perfect wedding day at Saint Mary of the Mount and the Pittsburgh Renaissance Hotel. They had perfect weather and were surrounded by loving family and friends. Their reception held four great toasts and lots and lots of dancing. Kristin was one of the happiest brides I’ve seen all year. She was constantly smiling and brushing off any wedding day…

Tracie and Tony’s Wedding at The Mansions on Fifth
Tracie and Tony met because they are neighbors. They lived in houses with adjacent backyards in Indiana township. Since they were married last weekend, moving in together doesn’t mean moving very far for either of them–they just have to decide which house they want to move into. They had a beautiful wedding with their closest family and friends at The Mansions on Fifth. I was honored to be a part of this wedding day. Tracie and Tony had so many beautiful and meaningful details during their ceremony. I’ve never had a bride ask me so many times if I needed anything or if I ate enough or felt better or…
