Marci and Teo aren’t Pittsburgh natives. They don’t live in the city, nor do either of their families. But they chose to celebrate the start of their marriage here in the city where they met. Marci and Teo were students at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh when they met and started dating. They’ve maintained a long distance relationship for several years while Marci was pursuing her PhD in Boston and Teo was working in Washington, DC.
Although it was a rainy spring day, the rain stopped for just a brief time so Marci and Teo could share their First Look and take some wedding portraits in Schenley Park. Rain was in the forecast all week so it was amazing that it was not raining for the only ten minutes of the day when they were seeing each other for the first time. Marci has an umbrella in the first photo of the First Look, then it disappears (Nicki took the umbrella away and then took many of these fabulous photos) for the rest of the session.
They planned an April wedding ceremony and reception at beautiful The Pittsburgh Golf Club. Rev. Mark DeNuzzio of A Simple Vow officiated a ceremony that was, like Marci and Teo themselves, sweet, fun, and just a little bit serious. You’ll see a photo of Marci dancing with a pineapple…but I have no idea what it means. They celebrated with their family and friends with entertainment provided by Craig of Red Hot Chameleon.
Congratulations, Marciela and Teo! Enjoy your honeymoon in Africa and the start of your lives together.
