Margie and Mike’s Wedding at St Therese of Lisieux

I’ve known Margie for a long time. We used to sit together when we sang in our high school’s chorus group (unlike Margie, I’m not a good singer, unless I’m imitating Bob Dylan or Robert Plant). We had a lot of great friends together in high school and I was honored when she asked me to photograph her wedding last month.

Margie and Mike are a great match together, and on their wedding day I got to hear other people tell great stories about them. Like how Margie and her maid-of-honor, Erin made a pact when they were five years old to be the maid of honor for each other’s wedding. I also got to hear Mike’s brother in-law and best man talk about how great of a guy he was. And how much Mike’s niece and nephew admired Margie and Mike.

Margie was all smiles as she walked down the aisle of St Therese of Lisieux with her father, Jerry. Mike was clearly overjoyed to see Margie for the first time at this moment on their wedding day. After the ceremony, we took photos near the church on this beautiful October day before heading to their reception.  During the reception, Margie and her dad shared a special father-daughter slow dance turned hip-hop dance as a surprise to all of their guests. I’m sure someone has put that on Youtube by now. Congratulations, Margie and Mike!
