Barbie and Chuck’s ShotBox
During their wedding day, I would joke around with Barbie and Chuck that their wedding was just an excuse to hire ShotBox. Maybe it was? No, just kidding. But ShotBox time was definitely THE time of the day where that Barbie was most excited to experience. I trust that this collection of photos won’t disappoint. I really enjoyed looking at all of these photos from the reception. They always seem to get crazier and crazier as the night goes on…for some reason. Happy Friday!

Barbie and Chuck’s Wedding at Christ United Methodist Church
I still remember the first time I met Barbie and Chuck when they were planning their wedding. The reason that I remember them so well is that Barbie mentioned some key things that I really find important. They cared about having a getting married, having a good time (with good friends), with good food (and drinks), and photography. “The important things” they said. Each time I would talk to them as their wedding day neared, the message I got from them was the same. And thanks to their hard work, the “important things” remained important. Barbie and Chuck were married on Saturday in a ceremony at Christ United Methodist Church in Pittsburgh’s South…

Lisa and Andy’s Engagement Photos
Lisa and Andy met when they were in college. They both studied in environmental fields and enjoy the outdoors tremendously. It was a nice treat for me to escape my normal engagement shooting routine and find a place where my clients really enjoy spending their time. They invited me to their home for their engagement photo shoot. They live next to a lake in West Virginia where they love spending time with each other and their two dogs. Congratulations, Lisa and Andy! I’m looking forward to celebrating with you this October.

Meghan and Raphael’s Engagement Photos on the North Shore
One day I got a phone call from Switzerland. I’m pretty weary of wedding inquiries coming from other countries since there are tons of wedding scams involving fake international couples sending fake deposits and asking for refunds of real money. But this wasn’t one of those calls. It was Pittsburgh native Meghan calling about her fall 2013 wedding to Raphael. And now I’m sure that Meghan and Raphael are real because we got together last week for their engagement photo shoot on Pittsburgh’s North Shore. Meghan and Raphael live in Geneva but were visiting Pittsburgh for some weddings and family visits and I was so happy to have some of their…

Rene and Dave’s Engagement Photo Shoot at Mellon Park
Rene and Dave are both busy doctors with crazy schedules. When I met the last week for this engagement session, they were so happy just to have time “to look at each other.” I’ve certainly been busy enough to know exactly what they were talking about, so I’m glad that our time together was really time for the two of them to smile and be together. Looking at each other. Later this year, they’ll be married at Sacred Heart in Shadyside followed by a reception at one of my favorite venues, the Heinz History Center.
