Hannah and Alex’s Wedding at The Circuit Center Ballroom

Hannah and Alex met while dancing — but not dancing at a wedding or a nightclub. They were both members of swing dancing and ballroom dancing clubs. Not only do they have fantastic dance moves, but their wedding party was full of excellent dancers too. When they were planning their wedding, they chose their reception location, The Circuit Center, because of the large dance floor.

Hannah and Alex were married in the absolutely beautiful Smithfield United Church of Christ on Smithfield Street in downtown Pittsburgh. The church is amazing–full of Germanic Gothic Architecture. It’s obvious why Hannah had dreamed of being married there since she first visited the church a few years ago. After taking some portraits at picturesque Mellon Park, they treated their guests to an excellent first dance performance at their wedding reception. With help from Surrae and her excellent team from Mod Matrimony, every detail was perfect.

Nicki and I started our day with the wedding party at the brand new Hyatt House Pittsburgh hotel on the South Side. When I arrived to photograph the bridesmaids, Elisha from Elisha Evans Styling was hard at work on hair and makeup.
