Stephanie and Josh’s Wedding in New York City
Josh and Stephanie both have a background in professional theater. They actually met because their mutual friend, Mark, had worked with each of them and thought that they would be great together. Having a lot of experience in the performing arts might have made their wedding feel a bit like a theater event itself. When I spoke with them about planning their wedding photography, Stephanie even referred to their wedding as a “a performance” and designated one area of their ceremony space “backstage.” When it came to the actual wedding day, I’m sure all of their stage and performance experience helped them to be prepared, but they exhibited a range or…

Sarah and Chris’s Wedding at Saint Vincent Basilica Parish
Another wedding from my future associate shooter, Nicki Dembski. Since I wasn’t there for this wedding, I’m going to let her tell you about it. “Rain Rain Go Away! It poured down rain on Sarah and Chris’s wedding day. It was one of those Pittsburgh rain kind of days. Sometimes, it looks like it’s going to rain all day, and it does. Most couples fear rain on their wedding day, but smiles never left Sarah and Chris’s face. I first met Sarah and Chris when I photographed Sarah’s best friend’s wedding earlier this year. Like their friends, Sarah and Chris are adorable together. They were married in a Catholic ceremony…

Meghan and Raphael’s Wedding at Longue Vue Club
Are you like me? Did you plan your wedding while living in a different city? If you did, you’ll know how challenging this can be. Emily and Robert’s Wedding at Armstrong Farms Westminster Preserve
Emily and Robert were having a hard time finding a wedding photographer. They had plenty of time before their wedding, but they seemed to be planning for a popular wedding date. I’m thrilled that they found me! Emily first contacted me by phone, a detail that I still remember since I’m usually contacted through email. Emily and I had a great connection, and she hired me before meeting me in person. Thankfully, I did get to meet her and Robert in person earlier this year when I was visiting New York City. Since Emily and Robert were planning their wedding from New York City, I thought it was so special…

Kelci and Andy’s Wedding at The White Barn
Not everyone loves planning a wedding. Weddings are big, time consuming, expensive events with a lot of work and complicated family dynamics. Kelci and Andy, however, loved planning their wedding. Especially Kelci. In the days leading up to their wedding, I’d ask Kelci how she was feeling and the answer was always positive. When a lot of couples might say “I can’t wait for the day to be here/over,” Kelci would say “I’m so exited! I wish my wedding day would last forever!” After their wedding, Kelci’s facebook status said “So…yesterday was the best day ever! More perfect then I could even imagine! Andy and I were married outside in…
