Kristen and John’s Engagement Photos
Kristen and John attend Ashley and Justin’s wedding last spring. Kristen thought that we did a good job at the wedding, but John didn’t remember seeing a photographer there at all! I take this as a good sign since it means that I can do my job without disrupting any guests. I’m thrilled to be working with them next year for their own wedding at The White Barn. For their engagement shoot, we met at the beautiful, private property at CS Stuido. With the assistance of four personal stylists, Pumpkin, Sebastian, and Laddy (horses!), we all had a great time fighting through the cold weather on their engagement photos. Congratulations,…

Erica and Jon’s Engagement Photos in Downtown Pittsburgh
If you mother/mother-in-law was present at your first date, would there be a second date? For Erica and Jon, the answer is yes! Erica and Jon were set up by mutual work friends and sent to Olive or Twist for a casual get together. Erica went with her mom (one of the people involved in the setup), Jon went alone, and everyone else bailed out leaving them in an uncommon “first date where your mom is there” situation. But there was a second date and many more and now they’re planning their wedding for September 2015! Congratulations, Erica and Jon!

Their wedding day at the Heinz History Center brought friends and family together from all over the country. Rebecca and Steven chose to see each other before their wedding ceremony to take photos around the history center and with their friends and family. They were married in a…

Ashley and Shawn’s Wedding at the Pittsburgh Athletic Association
Ashley and Shawn haven’t been to a lot of weddings, but they knew that a lot of traditions weren’t for them. When I described my approach to a wedding day, Ashley told me that they didn’t have a bridal party and weren’t too keen on bride and groom preparation photos. I really appreciate that Ashley, like me, believes that having a wedding should be fun. If it is stressful, why go to all of the trouble? Ashley and Shawn planned their wedding day locations so everything was within walking distance. They got dressed at the Wyndham Pittsburgh, and from there walked to Heinz Chapel for their wedding ceremony and Pittsburgh Athletic…

Lauren and Chris’s Engagement Photos in Schenley Park
Lauren and Chris met eight years ago when they were taking Confirmation classes at their church. Next year, they’ll be married in the very same church where their relationship began. We met on a beautiful evening last week for their engagement photos in Schenley Park and Oakland. Lauren’s smile is amazing (and Chris’s is pretty great too)! Congratulations, Lauren and Chris!
