Emily and Carson freely admitted that they practiced their expressions and actions for their wedding ShotBox. It was time well spent because their light saber battles are stunning (haha). While their guests didn’t have time to practice before the wedding, they were really entertained by the props they chose. Congratualtions again, Emily and Carson!

Emily and Carson’s Wedding at the Mattress Factory
Emily and Carson showcased a lot of personality and emotion on their wedding day. First, they shared a very emotional First Look in Pittsburgh’s North Side. Emily was so excited that I barely got into position to catch a photograph of her approach to meet Carson. Next we traveled to the Mattress Factory for their wedding ceremony and reception. After a group-wide high-five, and surrounded by their closest family and friends, Emily and Carson walked together down the aisle to their self-uniting ceremony. Tears continued through a read of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision on Same-Sex Marriage, a poem written by their future sister-in-law, and Emily and Carson’s unique written marriage…

Taresa and Nick’s Wedding at the Pittsburgh Field Club
When I met Taresa and Nick for the first time, they said that taking their wedding portraits at Point State Park was very important to them. They wanted to include the site of their proposal and the wonderful view of the city of Pittsburgh. As their wedding day approached, the rainy windy weather had upset their plans. It can feel like a bit of a loss to see your photography plans being doomed by the weather forecast.
