Kate and Tom’s Engagement Session at Simmons Farm
Everyone loves Tom. Even before I met Tom, I knew this because during my first interview with Kate and her mom, Candy, I heard it many times. Kate thinks that Tom is the greatest. Candy is beyond excited to have Tom as her son-in-law. And Tom is really great. Kate and Tom are better together. They are friendly, expressive, fun-loving people and genuinely enjoy each other’s company. Kate and Tom are planning a wedding for next February here in Pittsburgh. They have a limited number of visits to Pittsburgh from their home in Boston to plan for their wedding. During their most recent visit to Pittsburgh, we used some valuable time…

Heather and Tim’s Engagement at McConnell’s Mills State Park
Sometimes it is hard to choose the location for the engagement photos, but Heather and Tim required no decision. They had the perfect spot–McConnell’s Mills State Park. The park was the site of their second date and the place where Tim proposed to Heather under a secret waterfall. Getting to the proposal spot required some hiking. Not walking. Hiking. And climbing too. I love to hike. Hiking is never a problem, but in this case I was carrying a lot of heavy and expensive camera equipment so I had an extra challenge traversing the slippery rocks. Nicole and Lou’s Downtown Pittsburgh Engagement Photos
I recently met Nicole and Lou for their engagement photographs downtown. Though we were rained out of an earlier shoot date, our time this evening was wonderful. It (finally) was not too hot and the sky was full of fluffy white clouds. Lou works downtown, but they love being in the city together. They had many spaces on their list that they wanted to visit during their engagement shoot. My favorite was the top of a parking garage where we found a fantastic city view. Nicole and Lou are planning their wedding for spring of 2013 at the Carnegie Museum of Art.

Maria and Nathan’s Engagement
Maria and Nathan are busy planning their wedding for this fall in Pittsburgh at Phipps Conservatory. November is an unpredictable time for weather in Pittsburgh–it could be 65F and sunny or it could be snowing. But for their engagement shoot, we were more concerned about roving thunderstorms and getting too hot. Maria and Nathan have made their home in Columbus, Ohio but are returning to Pittsburgh for their wedding. Please enjoy some of my favorite photos from their engagement shoot last week.

Kaitlin and Ilario’s Engagement Photos in Downtown Pittsburgh
Last week I met Kaitlin and Ilario in downtown Pittsburgh for their engagement photo shoot. Even though we lost the opportunity to shoot in Market Square due to a motorcycle rally and a concert event, we found plenty of other fun areas to visit around the city. Kaitlin and Ilario are busy planning their wedding for this August but I think they had a great time walking around the city for this photo shoot. Please enjoy a few of my favorites from their engagement photo session.
