    Gabe

Gabe just celebrated his first birthday on January 4th.  I got to meet him and his wonderful family last weekend at their home for a photo shoot.  Gabe had a morning nap (I’m jealous) and lunch before I arrived. He was ready to play! Gabe is sure to be a lady killer with those beautiful blue eyes What a beautiful home! For a beautiful family Gabe loves to look at mom and dad’s wedding photos. Happy Birthday, Gabe.  Have a great time on your way to 2!

    Baby Aksel

I’ve been meeting a ton of babies lately.  And lots of babies with cool, European names.  Most recently, it was Aksel–Courtney and Bjorn’s first son.  He is such and adorable baby with a lot of spiky black hair. You can really see the extent of the black hair in these next two. Courtney is so beautiful.  I can’t believe she had a baby just a week before this photo was taken.  She looks great! Welcome Aksel!  And congratulations to Courtney and Bjorn!

    Baby Mairi

Catriona instantly became one of my nearest and dearest friends when I met her in 2005.  We were both working at Clark Construction where she and I were in the same work-sponsored social group set up for new hires.  I was so happy to have another woman in my group (some of the groups had boys only or just one girl).  Just a month away from her wedding day, she told me about this wonderful guy named Eric that she was about to marry and all of her fabulous wedding plans.  After her wedding, we became great friends and I’ve been so lucky to get to know her, her friends,…

    Kenny

Though I’ve known Ken for most of my life, I just met “little Kenny” a year ago.  Last week, I met him along with his parents, Kat and Ken for a family portrait session near Schenley Park and Phipps.  It was a very warm, but windy October afternoon, with great lighting and lots of things to explore. Kenny is learning how to walk.  Appropriately, he is sporting his “zombie walk” just before Halloween.   Getting some help from mom and dad. Here we are at the George Westinghouse monument. A near miss–Kenny coming right for my lens!  Kat was protecting me (and my equipment) from little hands, but I was…

    Laine

Last week, I got to spend some more time with our wonderful neighbors, Jennie, Mike, and Laine.  I photographed this beautiful family earlier this year, and I was so excited to hear that they were ready for another photo shoot. I arrived at their house last week as Mike was getting home from work.  In all of the rush to get changed, ready, and out the door to our family photo shoot at Mellon Park, Laine thought that I was the babysitter.  Well, I wasn’t popular for a few moments, but then she was all smiles when she realized that we were all going to play together. Mellon Park. I…
