Lindsay and Justin know how to have a good time. And their families and friends are pretty good too. Everyone got to shot off in ShotBox last weekend at their wedding at the PPG Aquarium.

DeAnna and Tony’s ShotBox

If you look back to DeAnna and Tony’s wedding earlier this week, you’ll see what a fun group of family and friends surrounded this wonderful couple. That group of family and friends got to “exercise their crazy” in ShotBox during the cocktail hour and wedding reception.

The ShotBox background is a white seamless paper backdrop that can get knocked around by a rowdy crowd. The Randi Voss Photography team was taking bets on how many times the backdrop would get knocked over. The answer: 2. The second was a group of likely suspects, but the first was this group of sober ladies.

A fake punch turned real!

Harry and Kayt’s ShotBox

Well, I have the best job in the whole world! After spending hours looking at great moments from their wedding day, I moved on to their ShotBox photos! Wow! I love editing the ShotBox photos as it is the first time I get to look through the photos. While I’m capturing moments on the dance floor or at the bar, Ryan is helping guests party hard in ShotBox. What great fun to look at a bunch of people having a great time!

Harry and Kayt decided that they wanted a photobooth at their wedding before they met with me last fall. ShotBox was the perfect fit for the party atmosphere at Olive or Twist. Enjoy!

Ashley and Jay’s ShotBox

All week I’m celebrating Ashley and Jay’s Wedding. Based on some comments I’ve been reading on facebook, Ashley and her friends are way more excited to see these ShotBox photos than they were to see the preview I posted earlier this week. I’m sure that all of the guests are equally excited to see these photos too….but here, everyone gets to be a star.

Dembski Christmas Party ShotBox – The Best Christmas Gift

Jenna and Jordan’s ShotBox

This week, among other things, I’ve been working on Jenna and Jordan’s wedding photos. I experience a range of emotions while editing wedding photos similar to those felt on the wedding day. When it is time to edit photos from ShotBox, I put on some dance music and ger ready to laugh. Jenna and Jordan’s guests were excellent ShotBox participants and I’m sure they’ll enjoy (?) the results below.

Laura and Donnie’s ShotBox

Just when I thought things couldn’t get any better….it was time for ShotBox! This one, for Laura and Donnie at their wedding reception last week. If you’ve been a loyal blog follower, you might recognize them from their engagement session, their fantastic wedding in Hawaii in May, or their wedding album. Imagine my shock, surprise, and excitement when they asked me to bring ShotBox to their wedding reception. Since they had a destination wedding, they still wanted to celebrate with their family and friends here in Pennsylvania.

Dinner and a ShotBox

Somewhere in 2005 I was asked to join a “Cooking Club” by some of my friend in Virginia, where I was living at the time. “I would love to!” I said, not knowing that the members would soon become some of my great friends and photography clients. Being invited into a Cooking Club is not a gesture to be taken lightly. These ladies are trusting you to bring part of their dinner to the expertly planned event. Don’t miss it.

How it Works: One lovely lady hosts the event at her home each month, most often a weeknight dinner. She chooses the themed menu and usually cooks the main course. Each of the guests brings her prepared menu item and we eat together. So we don’t really cook together, just eat together, but it’s awesome. I tried and prepared many foods that would not normally make their way onto a weeknight menu. Yum!

Last weekend, we had a reunion at Krissy’s house. Only 3 of the 8 ladies still live in the DC/Northern Virginia area, so once a year we reunite. This time, in ShotBox.

I gave a suggestion for “Air Guitar,” one of my favorites, but instead got “Air Violin.”

Um, this is awesome.

And you can’t get away from this group without a circle-high-five. Would you avoid it? See two more photos of the circle-high-five from Sara’s Bachelorette Party and Sara and Nigel’s Wedding.

The menu? The theme was recipes from Smitten Kitchen, since we are all smitten with our kitchens, its close to Valentine’s Day (our dinner was on 2/13), and the blog features great photography. Well here it is, with credit to the cooks.

Cubes, Hacked Caprese made by Janet (probably my favorite as my favorite foods are tomatoes, cheese, and bread).
Stuffed Mushrooms by Randi (and Sara). I made them without bacon, so I could have them.

Fork-Crushed Purple Potatoes by Catriona. She couldn’t find purple potatoes, but used redskin potatoes, and yum.
Bretzel Rolls by Jamie. Jamie also brought heart-shaped pretzels for everyone because she is so sweet.

Chicken with Almonds and Green Olives by our lovely hostess, Krissy.

Chocolate, Whiskey, and Beer Cupcakes by Sara (and Randi) These babies took about 4-5 hours to make with cooking, cooling, cleaning up the mess, and the many, many steps. We probably could have finished faster, but why the rush?
Pear and Almond Tart by Kelly. This was good and the crust was fantastic.

ShotBox – Schwille Wedding

Erin and Michael’s wedding had an extra treat for their guests — randi voss photography’s Shotbox. Erin’s family also brought lots of hats and props to the wedding to be used here, making for some very interesting photos. The bride’s veil even made it into the photos. Enjoy!
