Jamie and Marlon’s Wedding at the Renaissance Hotel
This weekend delivered two absolutely spectacular weddings that were so different from each other, yet, so special and unique for all of the families involved. I’m so excited to share them here on this blog. First, Jamie and Marlon. I met Jamie, and her wonderful parents Ken and Jane this spring for our interview. After looking at our very first sample wedding album together, Ken said “that was absolutely beautiful.” So instantly I really really liked them. When I met Marlon later, the feeling was the same. Everyone was looking to have a great time and a beautiful wedding. And on Friday, that is exactly what happened. Marlon prepared at…

Tabetha and Peter’s Wedding at Lingrow Farm
I was very excited for Tabetha and Peter’s wedding at Lingrow Farm last Friday. After their engagement photos, I knew it was going to be a good time. But after the response from their family and friends, I knew it was going to be a really, really good time. Everyone in their family is so obviously loving and supportive of Tabetha and Peter and their relationship together. Their family is also obsessed with taking photos of them, looking at photos of them, and saying how much they like photos of them. I felt so honored to be there photographing their day. Tabetha and her bridesmaids got ready in this beautiful…

Jenn and JC’s Wedding
On Saturday, I joined Jenn and JC for their very emotional wedding day. When I arrived at Jenn’s parents’ home in the morning, the girls were dressed and ready to be photographed. We took some family photos outside, then stayed inside to cool off before the wedding. Nicki was kind enough to join me for the day, first capturing this photo at the church. JC was super nervous. This was the first time I’d met him. He was definitely having an out of body experience. Jenn told me that one of the most important photos for her was to see JC’s expression as she came down the aisle. Photo by…

Alison and Paul on the Cover of a Magazine
Good news, everyone! Alison and Paul are featured of the Tribune Review Wedding Essentials Magazine! Wedding Essentials Magazine is a quarterly publication, this time exploring “Non-Traditional Wedding Venues” in the Pittsburgh area. I like the sound of that…. Here is the featured photo from their wedding at the Great Hall of the Heinz History Center last fall. And here is the final cover. So a little different from what I shot, and some distracting elements were removed to make room for the text too. All of the changes were made with my permission, of course. I’m very excited for Alison and Paul too! When I asked for Alison’s permission to…

Sarah and Sam–On a Boat! And Married!! – Wedding on the Gateway Clipper
Sam and Sarah met nearly ten years ago when they were freshman in college at Carnegie Mellon. They didn’t start dating until after college when their friendship transformed into a great relationship. Even though neither of them are Pittsburgh natives, they are enjoying the city so much–spending time with their dog, Ruby, and time on their own boat (that is where Sam proposed.) How appropriate to have their wedding in Pittsburgh AND on a boat! Yesterday Ryan and I had the enormous pleasure of photographing Sarah and Sam’s wedding on the Gateway Clipper. Ryan began his day with Sam and the groomsmen. Below, Sam and Ruby taking it easy. And…
