Lauren and Danny’s Wedding at Heinz History Center
Lauren and Danny had a picture perfect Pittsburgh Wedding. They began with a wedding ceremony at Heinz Chapel and ended with a wedding reception in the Mueller Center at Heinz History Center.Surrounded all day by a fantastic group of family and friends. Nicki and I started our day at the Westin hotel. I joined Lauren and her very calm, organized bridesmaids (not kidding about this–they were so calm and prepared). Nicki spent the first part of her day with Danny and the groomsmen. Lauren is amazingly beautiful! At Heinz Chapel When the bride and groom leave the ceremony, they have about 20 seconds alone together before they’re joined by the…

Rachel and Mike’s Wedding at the Heinz History Center
Rachel and Mike really have some great people in their lives. They have loving families and a great group of friends. They had a great group of vendors working on their wedding day. And they have each other. Together they enjoy renovating their classic home, spending time with friends, and cruising in their car. I was looking back at my notes on our first meeting together and I have more notes about the car than their wedding day details! The car is a Datsun 280Z that they take to the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix each year in Schenley Park. The “Zipper” is super cool and looked great parked outside of…

Erica and Matt’s Wedding at the Heinz History Center
Erica and Matt planned a storybook wedding. They described the details of their wedding when we met for their engagement photos last fall – their church, black and white wedding colors with pink (Erica’s favorite color) accents, shoes she saw on my website, and the best reception location in Pittsburgh– The Senator John Heinz History Center. Their story together began when Erica and Matt started dating in college and entered a new chapter on Saturday. They were married in a wedding ceremony at St Paul’s Episcopal Church in Mt Lebanon followed by a fantastic wedding reception in the Great Hall at the Heinz History Center. I loved this bridal room.…

Jocelyn and Mike’s Wedding at the Heinz History Center
Jocelyn and Mike love many of the same things. Cycling, the NFL, their families. Especially cycling. They have shared over 5000 miles of bicycle touring together and on Friday, they joined their lives together in a marriage ceremony and wedding reception at the Heinz History Center. Jocelyn and Mike had one of the most personal, meaningful, and unique wedding ceremonies I’ve ever witnessed. The ceremony included all of their family and friends in a bead ceremony where each guest was asked to bring/decorate a bead that Jocelyn and Mike strung together and used in a hand-fasting ceremony. I thought the beads would be cool, but I had no idea that…

Harry and Kayt tie the knot at Heinz History Center….then celebrate at Olive or Twist
I must have been ill (I was) when I shot Harry & Kayt’s engagement photos to not have remembered to share the story of how they met. In Kayt’s own words from their wedding website……. “We met at a party that Emerson had scheduled for all the freshmen during orientation. At the party, everyone received a balloon, blew it up, and threw it in the air. As the balloons were coming back down, we were all instructed to grab one and pair up with someone of the opposite gender with a different colored balloon. It was one of those moments where everyone is already paired up around you and you’re…
