Christine and Shawn’s Wedding at the Heinz History Center
When I met Shawn and Chris, I was pleasantly surprised at the unique vision they shared for their wedding day. They both described how their families were so important to them, so they wanted to focus on photography of their families as well as everyone having a great time. As the final wedding to end the regular season, Ryan and I had the extreme pleasure of photographing Christine and Shawn’s wedding at the Heinz History Center. As usual, I started with Christine and her bridesmaids getting ready. Christine’s makeup by Greg from Lightko Studios They elected to see each other before the wedding in a first look meeting. Somehow, we…

Jen and Marc’s Wedding at Heinz Chapel and the Heinz History Center
Jen and Marc met while they were students at the University of Pittsburgh, and on Saturday, they were married after being together for seven years. They wanted their wedding day to be “a really fun party,” and that is what they got! First, they exchanged vows and rings at beautiful Heinz Chapel. Then, the bridal party stopped for lunch at Primanti Brothers in the South Side, and finally to one of the best places in Pittsburgh to have a really fun party–Heinz History Center. I began my day photographing Jen and her bridesmaids and “Men of Honor” downstairs in Heinz Chapel. Ryan was upstairs and got this fantastic shot of…

Kenny
Though I’ve known Ken for most of my life, I just met “little Kenny” a year ago. Last week, I met him along with his parents, Kat and Ken for a family portrait session near Schenley Park and Phipps. It was a very warm, but windy October afternoon, with great lighting and lots of things to explore. Kenny is learning how to walk. Appropriately, he is sporting his “zombie walk” just before Halloween. Getting some help from mom and dad. Here we are at the George Westinghouse monument. A near miss–Kenny coming right for my lens! Kat was protecting me (and my equipment) from little hands, but I was…

Jill & Mike’s Engagement Session at the Pittsburgh Field Club
Jill and Mike attended the same college, but didn’t really know each other. They reconnected years later in Erie, where they were both visiting, and the rest is history. They’re getting married next March and I’m excited to photograph their wedding at Heinz Chapel (where Jill’s parents were married) and the Twentieth Century Club. We met for engagement photos one beautiful afternoon at the Pittsburgh Field Club. Note: coffee from my favorite, Coffee Tree Roasters. The colors that they wore looked so great in this setting. Favorite for lighting: Favorite expression: Here they are standing on the bridge to the elevator. Yes, there is an elevator on a golf course…

Michelle and Francis’ Wedding at Pittsburgh’s Grand Hall at The Priory
Michelle and Francis are amazing. They are super classy and a joy to be around. They both love dancing, physical fitness, and each other so much. Maybe I’m biased because they both work as engineers and met during college (as Ryan and I did). Since I met Michelle this spring, I was looking forward to their wedding day at Pittsburgh’s Grand Hall at the Priory-a location that they both really love so much-and Saint Joseph Parish on Dorseyville Road. When I asked her what they liked to do together, she answered that they liked to workout and go dancing. They LOVE dancing. They wanted to dance all night at their…
