I am so thrilled to be photographing their wedding this summer at Lingrow Farm!

Here are their engagement photos from the Allegheny Commons Park and the Mexican War Streets area of Pittsburgh.  Beautiful smiles!

Tabetha was a litlle nervous because we were pressed for time during the shoot (and she had taught 6-8th graders all day).  All it took was a run through the “squeeze machine” and she was relaxed, happy, and ready to be photographed. 

One of the most important things to me is how you feel when I am photographing you.  If you are stressed out or worried about something, it will show in your photos.  Here, Tabetha and Peter spent a moment alone while I was making an equipment change.  Photo by Nicki.

Ryan and I traveled to Minnesota for the holidays with plans to leave on 12/27.  Surely we would see this baby by then.  But, No.  The baby had other plans.  Ben Voss arrived on 12/27 at 7:10am. Ryan and I are staying a few more days here in this frozen state.  We met Ben when he was just 11 hours old.

This baby has some long toes.  I can definitely appreciate it since I’ve heard I was the same in the toe dept.

Ryan and I visited again in the hospital on 12/28, Ben being just 30 hours old.  This time, it was daylight so I was spoiled with some natural light.

Ben just opened his eyes, so I took about a million pictures trying to catch it.

Ben had his eyes open for a long time.  I think I took about 90 photos of the eyes open, just enough.

This is one of my favorites of Ben and Chris.  Chris telling Ben “remember that one time we went to that park?  Remember that one time we went ice fishing?  Remember that one time you rode [our dog] Wilma like an elephant?”

I’m so happy to have such a healthy nephew.  Congratulations, Chris and Ana!

I have known Laura since we were 13 and in middle school.  She was cooler than me then, and she is cooler than me now!  haha  Here are some images from her gorgeous and fun wedding.

Laura and her bridesmaids spent their morning at the The Spa at Nail Galleria in the Omni William Penn.  She then went to her parents’ home to get ready.  I had been to her house many times while growing up, but I’d never been in several rooms in her house as they belonged to her older sisters!  Since her sisters are married with homes of their own, Laura got ready in one of these rooms.

Laura and Mark had a “first look” meeting before the ceremony.  We took these in this beautiful area next to the church’s school.  Laura and I worked on some bridal portraits before Mark arrived.

When Mark came out to meet her, he was all smiles….and so was she!

We had a great portrait session!

The rest of the bridal party joined us so we took all of the necessary shots.  After the ceremony, we took a few family shots and headed to the reception.  I think it s great when a couple can attend their cocktail hour.  Friends and family have come so far to see the wedding and its great spend the wedding day with the people you’ve invited.

This beautiful pin attached to Laura’s bouquet belonged to Mark’s grandmother.

The light was perfect just before they got on the limo bus to go to the reception.  This is a seriously gorgeous couple!

Their first dance.

Laura is a aerobics/pilates/yoga/everything/dance instructor and personal trainer.  During the line dances, you could hear Laura giving instructions and encouragement to the guests.  Mark turned and said to me “Look, Laura is turning this into a dance class.”  He loved it.

Now it was Mark’s turn to lead.

My absolute favorite moment of the whole day.  Laura was singing “Boom Boom Pow” by the Black Eyed Peas right into my camera.  This is totally her personality!  I laughed so hard that my abs hurt when I saw this next image on my camera’s screen.

Laura is always the life of the party.  She was in a dance-off with Ryan’s brother, Chris when Ryan and I got married. And this one was definitely “I’m so 3008 – you so 2000-late!”

But things were so fun and easy all day!  The party went late into the night…..

Laura was so happy at the end of the night!  Congratulations Laura and Mark!  I love you!

We took this photo in the shade of a nearby barn.  So romantic!  Laura’s ring is stunning.  Good job, Don!

Their wedding was Saturday and it was a blast.  When I arrived in the morning, I learned that the girls were all locked out of the house when when they returned from having their hair done.  Good thing they had plenty of time and weren’t slowed at all!  Lexi dressed and ready to roll….

Only Lexi’s mom, Donna, and bridesmaid, Jamie had seen the bride in her dress or had seen the dress at all.  The dress was a surprise to everyone else, including Dad.    Clearly, they are all impressed.

Lexi and Josh rented a tour bus.  Really, it was a tour bus and there were 6 bunks in the middle.  I guess I could have taken a nap, but this picture was better than a nap. Hilarious!

When Lexi saw this image, she said it looked like it was “straight out of the Alfred Angelo catalog!”  Since her dress and the bridesmaids dresses came from there, I think that is a good thing.  I do love the pink and navy blue combo.

We grabbed a few more shots of Lexi and Josh right after dinner.  Worth it!

The band, Mind’s I, was great!  Here are Josh, Lexi, Ben (best man) and Tom (lead singer) rocking out to “Fight for your Right” by the Beastie Boys.  The band had such a good vibe and the crowd loved it!
