Kristin and Matt’s Wedding at the Pittsburgh Renaissance Hotel
Kristin and Matt are high school sweethearts whose relationship survived the long-distance trials of going to different colleges. While they are both from Pittsburgh, they currently live in Philadelphia. Matt proposed to Kristin while they were traveling together in London–how romantic! Kristin and Matt are super happy people who had a perfect wedding day at Saint Mary of the Mount and the Pittsburgh Renaissance Hotel. They had perfect weather and were surrounded by loving family and friends. Their reception held four great toasts and lots and lots of dancing. Kristin was one of the happiest brides I’ve seen all year. She was constantly smiling and brushing off any wedding day…

Tracie and Tony’s Wedding at The Mansions on Fifth
Tracie and Tony met because they are neighbors. They lived in houses with adjacent backyards in Indiana township. Since they were married last weekend, moving in together doesn’t mean moving very far for either of them–they just have to decide which house they want to move into. They had a beautiful wedding with their closest family and friends at The Mansions on Fifth. I was honored to be a part of this wedding day. Tracie and Tony had so many beautiful and meaningful details during their ceremony. I’ve never had a bride ask me so many times if I needed anything or if I ate enough or felt better or…

Kelly and Brian’s Engagement Photos at Mellon Park
Like most of my busy clients, Kelly and Brian scheduled their engagement shoot a few months in advance. October afternoons are hot commodities for photographers, especially beautiful warm afternoons. We were lucky to have beautiful weather for our shoot last Monday afternoon at Mellon Park. This was one of the few colorful trees that we could find. We headed into Downtown Pittsburgh for a few more engagement photos. Congratulations, Kelly and Brian. I’m excited to celebrate next fall with you (and to work with Hello Productions again)!

How to be a Good Bridesmaid
I’d like to think that I was a pretty good bridesmaid. I’ve seen it done a few times and I definitely know what not to do. Some things that I wanted to remember last weekend when I was helping Laura on her wedding day include: 1. Get the bride food, water, drinks, help, and whatever else she needs. 2. Nobody cares about how you look, Randi, you’re a bridesmaid. 3. Divert anyone that causes the bride stress. She’s planned enough things for this day and most problems should be handled by someone else at this point. She should focus on having a good time and being with her new husband.…

Friday Photo
Ryan and I are in Minnesota this weekend for Laura and Mike’s wedding. Last night I took this photo (with my point and shoot camera) of Laura with her 4 brothers sporting these nifty shirts. Nicki is the designer and creator of theses shirts. She is also here with us this weekend since Ryan and I are attendants in the wedding. I’ll be doing a bit of photography during the First Look until I don a bridesmaids’ dress and Nicki takes over for the ceremony and reception. Look forward to seeing work from her primary-photographer shooting debut next week.
