Jamie and Mark’s Engagement Scavenger Hunt in Downtown Pittsburgh
Like most newly engaged couples, Jamie and Mark were a bit nervous to be photographed by a professional photographer. But there is nothing to be worried about when I’m behind the camera because its my job to make my clients look and feel good. Jamie and Mark’s super clever maid-of-honor Carly created a scavenger hunt to distract them from the camera as we made our way though Downtown Pittsburgh at their engagement shoot. Carly provided a series of clues to guide us to interesting, photo-worthy places around the city. Each time they reached the designation, I’d provide the next clue. We had a wonderful time together at their shoot. I’m…

Kelly and David’s Wedding at The University Club in Pittsburgh
Kelly and David were married on Saturday at Sacred Heart Parish in Pittsburgh’s Shadyside neighborhood. They wanted their wedding to be relaxed, fun. They wanted everyone to have a great time and not have to wait too long for the fun to begin. Kelly and David met before their wedding to take their portraits so they were able to attend their entire cocktail hour on the beautiful, sunny rooftop deck of the University Club. Nicki and I were lucky enough to be able to capture these great memories for them. Gida’s Flowers provided the beautiful flowers and bouquets and DJ Mad Mike from Modern Era Weddings provided great music.

Barbie and Chuck’s ShotBox
During their wedding day, I would joke around with Barbie and Chuck that their wedding was just an excuse to hire ShotBox. Maybe it was? No, just kidding. But ShotBox time was definitely THE time of the day where that Barbie was most excited to experience. I trust that this collection of photos won’t disappoint. I really enjoyed looking at all of these photos from the reception. They always seem to get crazier and crazier as the night goes on…for some reason. Happy Friday!

Barbie and Chuck’s Wedding at Christ United Methodist Church
I still remember the first time I met Barbie and Chuck when they were planning their wedding. The reason that I remember them so well is that Barbie mentioned some key things that I really find important. They cared about having a getting married, having a good time (with good friends), with good food (and drinks), and photography. “The important things” they said. Each time I would talk to them as their wedding day neared, the message I got from them was the same. And thanks to their hard work, the “important things” remained important. Barbie and Chuck were married on Saturday in a ceremony at Christ United Methodist Church in Pittsburgh’s South…

Lisa and Andy’s Engagement Photos
Lisa and Andy met when they were in college. They both studied in environmental fields and enjoy the outdoors tremendously. It was a nice treat for me to escape my normal engagement shooting routine and find a place where my clients really enjoy spending their time. They invited me to their home for their engagement photo shoot. They live next to a lake in West Virginia where they love spending time with each other and their two dogs. Congratulations, Lisa and Andy! I’m looking forward to celebrating with you this October.
