Kendra and Ed’s Wedding at Jay Verno Studios
It’s here! Randi Voss Photography’s first wedding post of 2014! Nicki and I definitely started the year off right with this beautiful and fun wedding. It was our honor to photograph Kendra and Ed’s wedding on March 22, 2014. Kendra and Ed had quite a few wedding planning challenges including finding the perfect venue, locating missing bridesmaids dresses, and contending with unpredictable March weather. Those challenges are all a thing of the past now since Kendra and Ed had a picture perfect wedding day here in Pittsburgh!
Kendra and Ed were determined to have some great outdoor photos, even though their wedding ceremony and reception were both at the same venue. At our first meeting, Kendra asked me if we “could take outdoor photos sometime during the wedding day.” I’m happy to take photos anywhere that time permits on the wedding day. So into their wedding day schedule, they built some time for a First Look at The University of Pittsburgh and a quick stop at the Duquesne Incline.
After the marathon photo shoot, Kendra and Ed were married by Reverend Mark of A Simple Vow in an intimate ceremony at Jay Verno Studios. Kendra looked amazing in her unbelievably beautiful pinky-peach wedding gown. Her fantastic hair and makeup were done by Mia and Lindsey of Metamorphosis Salon and Day Spa. Guests moved to the adjacent room for cocktail hour before being welcomed into the main event space at Jay Verno Studios.
Guests were treated to some tasty buffet stations including a burger/fries station, Southern food station, and a salad station. This wedding was my first time working with Jen of JPC Event Group who organized and catered the event. The food was both beautiful and delicious! After dinner, Kendra and Ed shared their first dance and celebrated with their wedding guests. Congratulations Kendra and Ed!
