Dana and DJ’s Engagement Session at Point State Park
Is it possible to score a hat trick at wedding photography? If so, I’m about to do it! I photographed weddings for each of Dana’s two sisters, Sara and Casey and I’m honored to photograph Dana’s wedding next summer. Dana and DJ met on a few years ago on New Year’s Eve. DJ proposed when they were visiting Chicago earlier this year, so they decided to take their engagement photos in downtown Pittsburgh to reminisce in the atmosphere of a city. I couldn’t have had a better time with them on this beautiful summer evening. Congratulations, Dana and DJ!

Maggie and Adam’s Engagement Session at Point State Park
Maggie and Adam met at a work conference. One of Maggie’s colleagues noticed that Adam was interested in her, but Adam thought that Maggie was married to this colleague. Thankfully, Maggie’s clever co-worker (hi, Martin!) sent up a flare and told Maggie that Adam was interested in her. Later, Maggie and Adam were on a series of long-distance dates before Adam proposed at Point State Park here in Pittsburgh. What a perfect place for their engagement photography session, too! I’ve known Maggie in a professional setting for years , her being one of the talented catering managers for Common Plea catering. I am extremely honored that she and Adam chose…

Rebecca and CJ’s Downtown Pittsburgh Engagement Session
When Rebecca emailed me to schedule an engagement session, I politely declined since I always recommend hiring the same photographer for both your wedding and engagement session. She told me that while she and her fiance live in Pittsburgh, they’ll be exchanging vows on a beach in Florida. While I offered to go with her (hahahah), I happily booked a session with them for a beautiful October afternoon. I hope that their wedding day is just as gorgeous! Congratulations, Rebecca and CJ!

Kristen and John’s Engagement Photos
Kristen and John attend Ashley and Justin’s wedding last spring. Kristen thought that we did a good job at the wedding, but John didn’t remember seeing a photographer there at all! I take this as a good sign since it means that I can do my job without disrupting any guests. I’m thrilled to be working with them next year for their own wedding at The White Barn. For their engagement shoot, we met at the beautiful, private property at CS Stuido. With the assistance of four personal stylists, Pumpkin, Sebastian, and Laddy (horses!), we all had a great time fighting through the cold weather on their engagement photos. Congratulations,…

Erica and Jon’s Engagement Photos in Downtown Pittsburgh
If you mother/mother-in-law was present at your first date, would there be a second date? For Erica and Jon, the answer is yes! Erica and Jon were set up by mutual work friends and sent to Olive or Twist for a casual get together. Erica went with her mom (one of the people involved in the setup), Jon went alone, and everyone else bailed out leaving them in an uncommon “first date where your mom is there” situation. But there was a second date and many more and now they’re planning their wedding for September 2015! Congratulations, Erica and Jon!
