Rachel and Devin’s Wedding at The Mansions on Fifth
Rachel and Devin have great taste in everything. Their wedding had a classic look, great style, gorgeous flowers, beautiful food, and happy family and friends. Even though it was very hot and humid, Rachel and Devin were wearing the best accessory of all–huge smiles all day. Rachel and Devin chose The Mansions on Fifth for their ceremony and reception. Their flowers (from designer Rachel at Hepatica) were reminiscent of an English garden. The remainder of the reception were some meaningful dances and speeches followed by a rocking house party fueled with music from DJ Bill Bara. Ashley and Jim’s Wedding at Greystone Fields
Just like they did for their engagement photo session, Ashley and Jim had a beautiful perfect October day for their wedding. The leaves were changing, birds were singing, and Ashley and Jim were so very thankful for this picture perfect weather. Jim lives in Iowa and Ashley lives in Pittsburgh. After years of a long distance relationship Jim is finally getting his transfer his job to Pittsburgh. Last weekend they married and marked the end of long distance relationship and the beginning of close-distance long relationship. Sara and Michael’s Wedding
Sara and Mike met in chemistry class during the last week of their freshman year at Saint Vincent College. They had their first date at a Pirates game. I met with them last year near PNC park for their engagement photos. At that time, their wedding seemed so far away…but last Saturday, it was here! They were surrounded by a wonderful group of family and friends for their ceremony at St John Capistran Catholic Church and their reception at Crowne Plaza Hotel Pittsburgh South. Jess and Jason are married!
For me, this spring has been full of weddings of high school sweethearts. Jess and Jason started dating in high school and were married on Saturday at Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church. Jess and Jason truly are best friends. After we met for their very adventurous engagement photos last summer, I was amazed at how comfortable they were together. We got together again to plan a little bit more of their wedding photography in May and I couldn’t believe how calm they were about their upcoming wedding. Calm, comfortable, relaxed and fun. Ashley and Cory’s Wedding at the Barn at Fallingwater
Ashley and Cory have been waiting a long time for their wedding day. It’s been 11 years since they started dating (since they were high school sweethearts I doubt that they were seriously thinking about their wedding when they were teenagers). Their families have been waiting too. Last weekend they exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony at the The Barn at Fallingwater that was definitely worth waiting for.
