Just like they did for their engagement photo session, Ashley and Jim had a beautiful perfect October day for their wedding. The leaves were changing, birds were singing, and Ashley and Jim were so very thankful for this picture perfect weather.

Jim lives in Iowa and Ashley lives in Pittsburgh. After years of a long distance relationship Jim is finally getting his transfer his job to Pittsburgh. Last weekend they married and marked the end of long distance relationship and the beginning of close-distance long relationship.

Nicki and I spent the day with Ashley, Jim, and their families at Greystone Fields. We were so happy to be there with them. First Ashley and Jim met for a First Look. Afterwards, Jim said “I read so much and heard so many grooms talk about how beautiful the wedding dress is and I thought ‘Oh it’s just a white dress, I don’t know why guys think that wedding dresses are so great.’ But then I saw Ashley’s dress and WOW WOW WOW this is the most gorgeous dress on the most beautiful girl ever.” Well, that’s not an exact quote but Nicki can attest that it was pretty close to what he said.

After tons of family and bridal party photos, it was time for the ceremony.

I’m 90% sure that this was Ashley’s idea. She told me she was going to get Jim with a handful of cake.

This happened 3-4 times during the day.

It was a super fun dance party where Jim really, uh, enjoyed the music. Bob from Pifemaster Productions really kept the party going all night long. I heard a wedding guest in the Ladies’ room say “This is the most fun wedding I’ve ever been to. Let’s go back out and dance.”
