Cassandra and Jim’s Wedding at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott

Cassandra and Jim had a perfect plan for their wedding day. Even things that were beyond their control were planned perfectly. The only rain on this extremely hot summer day happened when Cassandra was starting to walk down the aisle with her dad. There was a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game was happening meaning that the Roberto Clemente bridge was closed and empty for the duration of the wedding party photos.

Cassandra and Jim were married in a beautiful wedding ceremony at St Bernadette Catholic Church in Monroeville. Their marriage ceremony was performed by Cassandra’s priest she had come to know during her time living in New Jersey. Father Vinny (the only priest I’ve seen snap a photo during the ceremony) and their very talented church musicians were imported to Pittsburgh for this very important day. They celebrated with a reception at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott with a very impressive choreographed first dance and a party with lots of family and friends.

July 7th was also one of the hottest days of the year in Pittsburgh. They braved the heat for their wedding photos. And not just braved the heat, but embraced it. So did the all of adults in their wedding party. Adults who love them so much that they would don formal wear in a record heat wave and take photos in a bridge in the middle of downtown Pittsburgh.

Cassandra and Jim have just returned from their honeymoon in Bora Bora and I’m thrilled to share these photos with them. Congratulations, Cassandra and Jim!
