Earlier this year, I learned that Nicki’s friend, Allie, was getting married and that Nicki was going to be her wedding photographer. While I was distraught that I would be losing my second shooter for one Saturday in June, I was thrilled that she would be fully in charge photography on a wedding day. Today I’m sharing Allie’s wedding photos on Nicki’s behalf. While I wasn’t at this wedding, I think it’s a great opportunity for me to showcase Nicki’s incredible talent and you can see the reason I love having her with me when I photograph a wedding.
“Matt and Allie met in Oakland while attending college at the University of Pittsburgh. Allie is quick witted and heavily honest. Matt balances out Allie’s vivacious personality by being sweet and caring. One glimpse of the two of them together, and you’ll immediately know they’re in love.
Allie couldn’t resist Matt’s thoughtful charm, and said yes when Matt planted a marriage proposal in a glass bottle at the beach. A year later, they got married at St Therese of Lisieux Church in Munhall. They celebrated with their friends and family at St. John’s after their beautiful ceremony. When it was time for portraits on University of Pittsburgh’s campus, these two made taking photos easy with their natural happiness. You could tell Allie put time and thought into her wedding by the details and how much fun everyone was having. Allie and her dad, Jim, surprised her guests with a hip hop father daughter dance, accompanied by professional two break dancers.
I hope you enjoy this amazing wedding as much as their guests did. I’d also like to thank Christina for being my second photographer for the day. If you want to see more, tune into TLC this fall, because their wedding will be featured on TLC’s Four Weddings. Congratulations again Allie and Matt!” – Nicki
