On Friday, I joined Katie and Rocco for their wedding in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. After preparing at their parents’ homes, they had a lovely ceremony at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin, and a fun reception at Southpointe Hilton Garden Inn. Katie and Rocco met in high school and both went to college in Boston. Katie was an art major in college, and said the she and Rocco would like some artistic photos at their wedding. Katie and Matt’s Wedding at Seven Oaks Country Club
This holiday weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing Katie and Matt’s wedding at Seven Oaks Country Club in Beaver, Pennsylvania. Katie and Matt met and started dating in college. They both share a love of the outdoors, a deep faith, and height. Just kidding about the height! Enjoy some of my favorite photos from their wedding. New York by Night
This week I’m visiting Jenn, my college BFF. She lives in Brooklyn and we’ve been having a great time here and around the city. Summary below…. We went to a Nellie McKay concert at the Highline Ballroom. Nellie is one of my favorites and I’ve seen her twice before. She performed a lot of songs from her most recent release which was a tribute to Doris Day. Great lighting at this concert. Nicki is also here visiting her friend, Sarah. Therasa and Matt’s Engagement Photos at CalU
Last week, I made the long drive with Therasa and Matt to California University of Pennsylvania for their engagement photo shoot. Therasa and Matt both went to college here, met, and built a significant part of their relationship. So I couldn’t really think of a better place for their engagement photos than the place where they spend so much time together. Therasa (who is hilarious) told me all about the different buildings she used to carry her art supplies up and down many, many stairs. I’m not sure what Therasa did to make Matt laugh so much! Summer Fruits
Here is an update on my tomato plants that I grew from seed this spring. All of the seeds came from the Seed Savers Exchange and the mature plants are doing great. We’ve had at least 10-12 quarts of these babies. And about 50 of of these big mamma jammas. Nicki and I just used 40 of them to make salsa (video coming soon, after Labor Day). Rebar stakes necessary for these heavy plants. More like a “tomato hedge” than just plants.
