Katherine and Mike’s Engagement Session at Mellon Park
When you look great, you usually feel great. Katherine and Mike looked so fantastic at their engagement session last week, and I trust that they were feeling great too. Katherine contacted me earlier this year when she saw Courtney and Jeff’s wedding photos. Katherine works with Courtney at Lilly Pulitzer, and like Courtney and Jeff, Katherine and Mike are planning their Pittsburgh wedding while living in Philadelphia. I know that planning your wedding while living in another city is no easy task, so I’m honored that they came into town just for these photos. The weather cooperated nicely and we got together last weekend while they were in town. Below…

Jill & Mike’s Engagement Session at the Pittsburgh Field Club
Jill and Mike attended the same college, but didn’t really know each other. They reconnected years later in Erie, where they were both visiting, and the rest is history. They’re getting married next March and I’m excited to photograph their wedding at Heinz Chapel (where Jill’s parents were married) and the Twentieth Century Club. We met for engagement photos one beautiful afternoon at the Pittsburgh Field Club. Note: coffee from my favorite, Coffee Tree Roasters. The colors that they wore looked so great in this setting. Favorite for lighting: Favorite expression: Here they are standing on the bridge to the elevator. Yes, there is an elevator on a golf course…

Ashley and Russ’ Engagement Session at Mellon Park
Ashley and Russ met in high school, but they didn’t start dating right away. They’ve been together for a few years now and they’re planning their wedding for October of 2011. I have photographed a few of their friends’ weddings and I’m thrilled to be photographing their wedding next October. Yay! We met on Friday for their engagement photos at Mellon Park. I love taking engagement photos at Mellon Park. The walled garden is beautifully restored and well maintained. It looks great at every time of year. Favorite because of the light: One of my favorite things about photographing an engagement shoot–or anything–is how I get to run around like…

Lauren and Danny’s Engagement Photos at the University of Pittsburgh
Lauren and Danny met when they were students at the University of Pittsburgh. Danny currently works for the University of Pittsburgh and once upon a time they spent a lot of time on campus. We met there earlier this week for their engagement photo shoot. We’d scheduled this date a few months ago and I was thrilled when we had beautiful weather…..and two adorable people to work with that day! Told you they were adorable! We walked around near the Cathedral of Learning for some of these photos. Here we fond some nice lighting. Fist bump and off to the North Shore Lauren changed in the car, which I thought…

Megan and Neal’s Engagement Photos on Pittsburgh’s North Shore
Megan and Neal are new to Pittsburgh. Megan is a graduate student at University of Pittsburgh and her fiance, Neal, is working in Pittsburgh too. They are making their way around the city, trying new restaurants and fun places to go. We met on Monday near PNC Park and Pittsburgh’s North Shore for their engagement photos. They are planning their wedding for June 2011 in their hometown of Toledo, Ohio at an art museum. I’m happy they decided to take their engagement photos in Pittsburgh so I got to know them a little bit. See how cute they are! I love the bokeh (the blurry stuff) in this photo. This…
