Julie and Jon’s Wedding
On Saturday, I had the pleasure of spending the day with Julie, Jon, and their lovely families. You may remember them from their engagement session in April. I met Julie and Jon in winter of 2009 for an interview. Right away, I knew that I liked them. They are both super smart, kind, and Julie is 6 feet tall. During the interview, they asked me(excuse my paraphrasing as the interview was in January) “Do you like being married? As lawyers, we see everyone who is ending their marriage, and its not fun at all.” I do, in fact, love being married to Ryan so I said “Yes. It’s like spending everyday with your best friend.” I wish you the best, Julie and Jon. Here are moments from their wedding day.
We had a few moments for photos after the ladies were ready, before leaving for the church. Here is the flower girl and junior bridesmaids showing off their new dresses.
After the ceremony, Ryan and I grabbed these photos on the way to the limo. Julie looked stunning in her gown.
My kind of girl! Go Julie!
We stopped with the bridal party in Schenley Park, in the valley behind the Cafe. Julie and Jon had fallen in love with this area after a bit of trespassing they did together at the Vintage Grand Prix this summer. I thought it was awesome as we traversed down many stairs into this valley. So glad it was their idea-I’d never make a bridal party (especially in those shoes) walk so far unless it was what they wanted. I was stoked because I knew this area and all of the photographic opportunities we would have. Like this one of them coming down the stairs.
Julie had a great sense of humor. Here she is razzing the groomsmen.
After some bridal party photos, I got some time to shoot with the two of them. One of my favorites.
Wait wait, this one might be my favorite. The leaves are just beginning to change.
The reception was nearby at The Pittsburgh Golf Club. From their first dance.
And their First Golf on the green after dinner.
And Jon gets down to business on a skateboard.
This I love all of the guys really getting into catching this thing. Usually the guys run away frightened!
