Laura and Donnie’s Wedding Album
Good news, everyone! Laura and Donnie‘s fantastic wedding album has arrived! Laura and Donnie were married in Hawaii on May 8, 2010 and I was lucky enough to be there.
At first, Laura was considering a book with a pink accent to go with the bright pink accents she used in her wedding attire. We were looking at material swatches and were struck by the idea of creating an old-travel-journal-style album. I’m SO pleased with how everything turned out in the end–the album layout design and the physical artifact.
Their wedding album is a 10″x10″ Finao One with two kinds of leather: “Chiara” on the main face, and “Krumble” on the spine. The 3″x3″ Aloha graphic is a smaller version of a large postcard she mailed to her friends and family after her wedding in Hawaii.
Those imperfections in the lighter leather will only increase with age. This book is going to have a beautiful patina.
Congratulations, Laura and Donnie. I can’t wait to celebrate with you again next month. This time, in Pennsylvania.
