Katie and Rocco’s Wedding at Southpointe Hilton Garden Inn
On Friday, I joined Katie and Rocco for their wedding in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. After preparing at their parents’ homes, they had a lovely ceremony at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin, and a fun reception at Southpointe Hilton Garden Inn. Katie and Rocco met in high school and both went to college in Boston. Katie was an art major in college, and said the she and Rocco would like some artistic photos at their wedding.
I started my day at Katie’s parents’ home in South Park. This is pretty much the scene when I saw Katie for the first time that day.
Katie’s dad was banished to the living room so she could make this dramatic entrance.
Nicki spent the morning photographing Rocco and his groomsmen. I took this one of Rocco just before the ceremony.
They were both very emotional during the ceremony.
Katie and Rocco spent so much time together in college in the city of Boston. Since we couldn’t go there for wedding photos, Katie chose this spot which reminded her of some of the architecture she loved in the city. Lovely.
Photo by Nicki using the Lensbaby Composer.
More from Southpointe, with perfect lighting.
Then a little trespassing at Southpointe. Well, the limo driver does know the owner of this property and had worked with Katie to be able to take photographs there. But still.
Beautiful, ladies!
Grandma was rocking out. I believe the song was “Club Can’t Handle Me” by Flo Rida. Just saying.
Congratulations, Katie and Rocco!

Little girl reflected in the church pew = awesome. And I love the one where the newlyweds are walking on to the dance floor, with all eyes on them.
