Turkey Bowl 2011
Happy Thanksgiving! It’s time to celebrate our fifth annual Turkey Bowl.
This blog did not exist for the first two Turkey Bowls, but Turkey Bowl 2009 was awesome. Those were some of my favorite shirts, being black & gold and all. Last year, Ryan and I were in Minnesota for a snowy, icy Turkey Bowl so I missed out on the 40F and rainy Turkey Bowl here in Pittsburgh.
No fear, we’re back home this year for my favorite event on my favorite holiday. And it was sunny!!!
Nicki always wears the most ridiculous best outfits.
Rock, paper, scissors fail. This one is for you, Dad.
The purple team was stacked.
But the green team had beard power.
Excellent panning photo of me by our excellent photographer, Ryan.
“Who invited him?” is what we say every time Kevin gets the ball. He is so good that it makes us all feel worse about ourselves.
I did pick up the camera for a little bit. I was still on the field blocking for my team. With a cup of tea too.
This years shirts were great again.
Jason with his tongue out. He said that we chose great colors (the same as his wedding to Jess this year).
Game MVP with his sock flags in the neck of his shirt.
Not sure this is legal.
Someone has to throw Nicki in the mud every year. The usual suspects weren’t around so cousin Lauren and I took care of the duty.
Team MVP trophy socks.
Oh I almost forgot the cookies that we made for the event. Steelers football helmets, little footballs (laces out!), and team T-rex.

Another success. If you notice, in every photo, I’m not even facing the right direction. I did a lot of standing around and trash talking. Can’t wait till next year!!
