Kaitlin and Ilario’s Wedding at Heinz History Center
Kaitlin and Ilario are the definition of an easy going couple. They have such great family and friends to support their relationship. They met when they were both working at the same restaurant and the staff there became part of their family as their friendship became a relationship. Last weekend they were married at a Catholic ceremony at St. Anselm Church. Once they said their “I do’s,” we headed to Mellon Park for a few photographs, just barely beating the incoming rain. They celebrated their marriage with a reception in the Heinz History Center at the Mueller Center. A great night was provided with the help of catering by Common Plea, stunning flowers by…

Rene and Dave’s Wedding at Sacred Heart and the Heinz History Center
The first time I met Rene and Dave, I really hoped that I could be a part of their wedding day. They are nice, kind, and prefer to live a drama-free lifestyle. When I asked Rene if she wanted Nicki and I to coordinate privacy so they didn’t see each other before their pre-ceremony photos, Rene said “that sounds too stressful. I’d rather see Dave than have any stress.” Definitely a wedding day I’d love to photograph! And I did… As neither Rene nor Dave are from Pittsburgh, most of their wedding guests traveled to celebrate their wedding with them in their new hometown. They were showing off all of…

Cassandra and Jim’s Wedding at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott
Cassandra and Jim had a perfect plan for their wedding day. Even things that were beyond their control were planned perfectly. The only rain on this extremely hot summer day happened when Cassandra was starting to walk down the aisle with her dad. There was a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game was happening meaning that the Roberto Clemente bridge was closed and empty for the duration of the wedding party photos. Cassandra and Jim were married in a beautiful wedding ceremony at St Bernadette Catholic Church in Monroeville. Their marriage ceremony was performed by Cassandra’s priest she had come to know during her time living in New Jersey. Father Vinny (the…

Kiki and John’s Wedding at the Crowne Plaza at Pittsburgh Airport
Love is in the air for Kiki and John. They currently live in Florida, but Kiki and John returned home to western Pennsylvania for their wedding last weekend. Even though the only time I met Kiki in person was at our initial interview, she trusted me completely to photograph every special moment of her wedding day. Kiki and John were married in a Catholic mass at Holy Spirit Parish in Millvale. After their vows they were ready to celebrate. We made a stop in downtown Pittsburgh for a few portraits on the Roberto Clemente bridge before cruising in their limousine to the Crowne Plaza Hotel at the Pittsburgh Airport for…

Alana and Daire’s Wedding at the Great Hall in the Heinz History Center
Alana and Daire live in San Francisco, but Alana is originally from Pittsburgh and Daire is from Dublin. I had talked with them on the phone before, but I met Alana and Daire in person for the first time just a week before their wedding day. We met for brunch at Pamela’s in the Strip District to review what was most important to them about their wedding. They chose great locations for their wedding day celebration including Saint Paul Cathedral in Oakland (with Daire’s priest from Ireland performing the marriage ceremony) and the Great Hall at the Heinz History Center. Great venues aside, the thing that was most important was…
