Kate and Tom’s Wedding at Heinz Chapel and The LeMont
Whenever one of my clients is planning a winter wedding, I want to know why. Maybe, like Kate, you prefer cold weather and snuggling up with cozy clothes. Maybe you also enjoy beautiful white snow and warm mittens. And for a wedding, there is an extra kind of sophistication brought to the event by appropriately warm wedding attire and formal coats. But–traveling can be a challenge, there might be a blizzard where half of your guests live, your shipment of wedding flowers might be frozen, or in Kate and Tom‘s case, all three!
Luckily, Kate and Tom have great families. Kate’s Pittsburgh-based family worked to overcome a cold weather, frozen flowers, and lots of unexpected changes. Tom’s family, all traveling from snowy snowy snowy (blizzardy?) Boston, had to overcome canceled flights, scary weather reports, and long drives to Pittsburgh. All of those things before the actual wedding day. Without prior knowledge, you wouldn’t have had a clue that any of those things had occurred to thwart their wedding day perfection.
Kate and Tom’s wedding ceremony was held at Heinz Memorial Chapel followed by a wedding reception at Pittsburgh’s LeMont Restaurant. It was a privilege to work with Megan from Pictory Productions and have Nicki working with me as a second photographer. I have too many favorite moments from the day, but Kate looks totally gorgeous with lovely skin and naturally curly hair. Her two nieces almost stole the show while Kate was getting ready (and during the reception dances too!). Tom and his groomsmen looked great in their formal tuxedos and white gloves. A fairy tale of a wedding!
