Lauren and Henry’s Engagement Photos
Lauren and Henry met when they were in graduate school at Carnegie Mellon. Students no more, they are very busy preparing for their wedding later this month. I met when them at Lauren’s childhood home on a beautiful summer evening. What an incredible backyard for a photo shoot! I really enjoyed my time getting to know Lauren and Henry and I’m looking forward to seeing more of their gorgeous faces at their wedding. Congratulations, Lauren and Henry!

Jessi and Justin’s Wedding at Armstrong Farms’ Fieldstone House
When Jessi and Justin were planning their wedding, they told me that one of the most important parts of their wedding day was the photography. They stated many, many times that we would take as much time for photography asĀ necessary (!) because they had been to so many weddings waiting for the bride and groom to arrive at the reception. And now it was their turn to take photos. While they were willing to be flexible with their schedule in case of adverse weather, the weather was perfect and the photography was right on schedule. Jessi and Justin were married in the beautiful Mount Saint Peter Parish in New…

Sarah and Matt’s Wedding at Longue Vue Club
Wedding days are full of surprises. What will the bride’s dress look like? How will the groom react when he sees her for the first time? What song will they dance to for their first dance? Sarah and Matt’s wedding had more surprises than most. The first surprises were during their wedding gift exchange. Matt gifted Sarah a hand drawn artist’s rendering of her childhood home and Sarah gave a custom made Scrabble board detailing Matt’s best attributes. Sarah and Matt exchanged vows in a Catholic wedding ceremony at St Paul’s Cathedral in Pittsburgh where they had the exciting surprise of seeing each other for the first time. Sarah and…

Rebecca and Steven’s Engagement shoot in Schenley Park
Rebecca and Steven have a craving for learning. They met when they were working together at The University of Pittsburgh before moving to separate cities for work and school. Rebecca is just finishing her work as a PhD candidate in St Louis. And Steven is just beginning a MD/PhD program in Cleveland. What a great match of two people who can really understand how to navigate academia. Below are some of my favorite shots from their engagement session in Schenley Park and Pittsburgh’s North Shore. I’m thrilled to celebrate with them this fall at their Heinz History Center wedding!

Kristen and Daniel’s Wedding at Heinz History Center and Trinity Cathedral
A wedding day means different things to different couples. Some couples are anticipating walking down the aisle, some are focused on tiny details, and others are so excited to celebrate (and feel relief) at their wedding reception. Kristen and Daniel were excited about their very personal wedding ceremony. They both work for churches and their wedding ceremony was performed by one of Daniel’s closest friends. But they also really enjoyed dancing all night at their wedding reception! Kristen and Daniel were married at Trinity Cathedral in downtown Pittsburgh. Prior to the ceremony, Kristen requested a popular wedding photo where the bride and groom each stand on the side of an…
