    Jenna and Jordan’s ShotBox

This week, among other things, I’ve been working on Jenna and Jordan’s wedding photos.  I experience a range of emotions while editing wedding photos similar to those felt on the wedding day.  When it is time to edit photos from ShotBox, I put on some dance music and ger ready to laugh.  Jenna and Jordan’s guests were excellent ShotBox participants and I’m sure they’ll enjoy (?) the results below. Just fulfilling their request to have me in their photo. I wonder if she stole this child….. This Hulk robe and belt never got old. Ceremony and reception musicians C3Music Two of my faves Jordan, I hope you bought the insurance…..…

Tatiana and Marc’s Wedding at St Sylvester Parish

Saturday was a beautiful day for Tatiana and Marc‘s wedding.  They grew up just a few blocks away from each other, but didn’t start dating until they were in college.  After flirting in class (to no surprise of their friends), they finally got together.  I was honored to photograph their wedding in the South Hills of Pittsburgh at St Sylvster Parish in Brentwood. First, I joined Tatiana and her bridesmaids while they were getting ready. Tatia’s dress was really really big, and she is a small lady. Due to some really excellent wedding day planning by Tatia and her mom, the ladies were all ready in plenty of time to…

Kayla and Leslie – Pittsburgh Family Photography

Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing four generations of a lovely family in Squirrel Hill.  Barbara contacted me after seeing Laura and Mark’s Wedding Album when she and her sister were taking fitness classes from Laura.  I met them at home on a Sunday for a few large group and individual family photos. Nicki was nice enough to come with me to organize the large group.  After we were done shooting the portraits, we got to take a few photos of that adorable 4th generation, Kayla and Leslie. At first it was hard to get their attention due to the presence of grapes. But toys will fix that. …

    Smitten Kitchen, 10 ways

It’s March, and wedding season is slowly ramping up in Pittsburgh.  I’m having a great time in this slow time as I’m sure to be swimming (happily) in photographs in no time at all.  Until then, time to crush more of that 20 lists of 10 in 2010. This one, I just completed.  “Cook 10 recipes from the Smitten Kitchen blog.”  This was not hard to do since I’m a big Smitten Kitchen fan and I love to cook.  The SK author, Deb,  (we affectionately refer to her by name in my circles) is a food lover and avid photographer. While I enjoy reading her stories and checking out her…

    Downhill on Two Sticks

Photos from my ski day on Wednesday at Seven Springs Resort, near Pittsburgh.  Most, if not all, of the snow at Seven Springs was naturally made by the blizzard earlier this month, which made for great conditions. If I had snowshoes, I would have gone for a hike. Jay skiing backwards Jay’s new K2’s next to my OAB Salomons So happy to be riding the ski lift.  Photo by Jay. Jay getting some sweet air. Too cool for school Jay has a peacock butt like his sister Jessi did at her wedding last year. There were very few skiers on a Wednesday afternoon, and we were thankful for that.
