When I met Taresa and Nick for the first time, they said that taking their wedding portraits at Point State Park was very important to them. They wanted to include the site of their proposal and the wonderful view of the city of Pittsburgh. As their wedding day approached, the rainy windy weather had upset their plans.
It can feel like a bit of a loss to see your photography plans being doomed by the weather forecast. When we made our final plans for the wedding portraits, we decided to go to the David L Lawrence Convention Center since it is fully protected from the rain and wind. My favorite part of this story is when Taresa and Nick said they didn’t care about the weather or the portrait location at all. They said “there are so many other parts of our wedding day that have nothing to do with the weather. We are so excited to see all of the photos of our events with our family and friends.” I breathed a sigh of relief to know that they were planning to have a great day and this was a great sign for their marriage together.
Their wedding reception was held at the Pittsburgh Field Club where we took a few more portraits on the porch before joining the guests to celebrate. Everyone enjoyed dinner, a great dance party, and a late night sparkler sendoff.
Congratulations, Taresa and Nick!
