Rachel and Devin’s Wedding at The Mansions on Fifth
Rachel and Devin have great taste in everything. Their wedding had a classic look, great style, gorgeous flowers, beautiful food, and happy family and friends. Even though it was very hot and humid, Rachel and Devin were wearing the best accessory of all–huge smiles all day. Rachel and Devin chose The Mansions on Fifth for their ceremony and reception. Their flowers (from designer Rachel at Hepatica) were reminiscent of an English garden. The remainder of the reception were some meaningful dances and speeches followed by a rocking house party fueled with music from DJ Bill Bara. Nicki was shooting with Rachel and me all day, but this time she was making a cinema for Syncopated…

Kelly and David’s Wedding at The University Club in Pittsburgh
Kelly and David were married on Saturday at Sacred Heart Parish in Pittsburgh’s Shadyside neighborhood. They wanted their wedding to be relaxed, fun. They wanted everyone to have a great time and not have to wait too long for the fun to begin. Kelly and David met before their wedding to take their portraits so they were able to attend their entire cocktail hour on the beautiful, sunny rooftop deck of the University Club. Nicki and I were lucky enough to be able to capture these great memories for them. Gida’s Flowers provided the beautiful flowers and bouquets and DJ Mad Mike from Modern Era Weddings provided great music.

Barbie and Chuck’s Wedding at Christ United Methodist Church
I still remember the first time I met Barbie and Chuck when they were planning their wedding. The reason that I remember them so well is that Barbie mentioned some key things that I really find important. They cared about having a getting married, having a good time (with good friends), with good food (and drinks), and photography. “The important things” they said. Each time I would talk to them as their wedding day neared, the message I got from them was the same. And thanks to their hard work, the “important things” remained important. Barbie and Chuck were married on Saturday in a ceremony at Christ United Methodist Church in Pittsburgh’s South…

Carla and Mike’s Wedding at Soldiers and Sailors
Carla and Mike have a lot of really great people in their lives. They both grew up in Pittsburgh and they’ve made their permanent home in the South Hills. Last weekend, their wonderful families and their extended network of close friends from all over the country (and the world) joined them in their hometown to celebrate their wedding day. They were married in a Catholic Mass at St Paul’s Cathedral in Oakland followed by a reception at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall. They hired a lot of wonderful vendors to help them celebrate their wedding including videography by Fineline Weddings, makeup by Julie of Pittsburgh Makeup, reception lighting by Gray Phoenix, and wedding reception entertainment with…

Marciela and Teo’s Wedding at the Pittsburgh Golf Club
Marci and Teo aren’t Pittsburgh natives. They don’t live in the city, nor do either of their families. But they chose to celebrate the start of their marriage here in the city where they met. Marci and Teo were students at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh when they met and started dating. They’ve maintained a long distance relationship for several years while Marci was pursuing her PhD in Boston and Teo was working in Washington, DC. Although it was a rainy spring day, the rain stopped for just a brief time so Marci and Teo could share their First Look and take some wedding portraits in Schenley Park. Rain was…
