Laura and Donnie’s Hawai’i Paradise Wedding
I first met Laura in June of 2008 when we were both working at Burt Hill. I was just starting my second year of photographing weddings professionally, and was very happy to see that Laura was engaged. Selfishly, when I met her, I thought that maybe I would be able to shoot her wedding someday. I got to know her well as a friend over the next few months, and realized that she was genuinely happy to be engaged and not really interested in the “whole wedding thing.” And I knew that really wasn’t her style. When I took Laura and Don’s engagement photos at their home in Smock, Pennsylvania…

Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park
Continuing with our theme of getting up early and not going to the beach, on Thursday we took a 6am flight to The Big Island of Hawai’i. From the small airport in Hilo, we got into our rental car and drove immediately to Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park (in by 7am, ha!). Our first stop was the Thurston Lava Tube. Being so early, we were the only ones there (yay). So here are some photos….since everyone brings off-camera lighting on vacation with them, right? Aloha! Me, waving to YOU. Aiea Loop Trail Rainforest Hike – Oahu, Hawai’i
Aloha! Ryan and I are in Hawaii for Laura and Donnie’s wedding on Saturday, May 8th. Even though I love photographing weddings in Pittsburgh, I am totally excited to be working this weekend in Hawai’i– What a great job I have!! Ryan and I arrived a few days earlier than our soon-to-be-wed friends, and decided to explore Hawaii before we spend time on the beach with them. We arrived here on Tuesday at about 3pm and could barely stay awake (due to the time change and our long flight) enough for dinner. On Wednesday, we were awake and ready to roll at about 6am (noon by our Pittsburgh body clocks).…

Courtney and Jeff’s Wedding at The Club at Nevillewood | Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer
On Saturday, I had the extreme pleasure of photographing Courtney and Jeff’s Wedding. I met Courtney, Jeff, and Courtney’s Parents last summer for an interview, when Courtney and Jeff were visiting from their home in Chicago. I loved them right away and was thrilled when they asked me to be their wedding photographer for their wedding at The Club at Nevillewood. Though this was my first time meeting Courtney, I had met her sister, Megan, when we were both working at Burt Hill. “Being that she’s my sister, I really want Court to have the best on her wedding day, I couldn’t feel more confident that she’ll be getting it!” …

Tabetha and Peter’s Mexican War Streets Engagement Photos | Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer
Meet Tabetha and Peter. They met at work. Peter was teaching full time at a local school and Tabetha was student teaching there when they met. They had to take some time to get to know each other since the school’s policy did not allow dating between staff members. But love knows no school policy. I am so thrilled to be photographing their wedding this summer at Lingrow Farm! Here are their engagement photos from the Allegheny Commons Park and the Mexican War Streets area of Pittsburgh. Beautiful smiles! Tabetha was a litlle nervous because we were pressed for time during the shoot (and she had taught 6-8th graders all…
