Kayt’s Trash the Dress
Kayt and Harry’s wedding had to be one of my favorite weddings this year. Maybe it was because they had a decidedly different wedding with an evening wedding ceremony at Heinz History Center and a cocktails-only reception at Oliver of Twist. Maybe it was because Syncopated Pictures also made a wedding cinema of this event (on which I had the pleasure of being a contributing editor). Or maybe it was because Kayt and Harry have become friends with Ryan and I over the last year. All summer, Kayt and I have been trying to plan a trash the dress session for her and we finally had some time to get…

Lindsay and Justin’s Wedding at Schenley Plaza
Last Saturday was September 10, 2011 — more affectionately known in the wedding world in which I live as 9.10.11. This was an extremely popular wedding date and one that I could have booked over and over again if I could clone myself. But there is only one me and I can only shoot one wedding on this date. Lucky for me, I was working with Lindsay and Justin. Their wedding day began at the beautiful new SpingHill Suites Bakery Square. I didn’t realized how much I liked this hotel until I checked out how many photos I included from this trendy new location. Nicki was working with the guys…

Therasa and Matt’s Love the Dress Session at the Beach
Therasa and Matt wanted to be married on a beach. From Pittsburgh, they traveled to Delaware to be near Matt’s family, just miles from Rehoboth Beach. While making plans for their beach wedding, they found that the wedding would be more stressful than fun. For them, it would have been to much stress to coordinate permitting, rentals, crowds and weather. So a farm wedding it was. Coming from Pittsburgh, this couple was not ready to miss an opportunity to be photographed on the beach. So we did! Shooting earlier than expected to avoid impending bad weather on Sunday after their wedding. Enjoy! If you’ve ever worn a wedding gown, you…

Therasa and Matt’s Wedding on a Farm
Matt comes from a family of farmers. Real farmers with crops, harvest, irrigation machines and barns. When he decided that farming wasn’t for him, he traveled west from his home in Delaware to Pittsburgh. During college he met Therasa. Now Matt is sure that he made the right decision to come to Pittsburgh since he met his love. He lives here for her. Therasa and Matt were married on Matt’s family’s farm in Delaware. Ryan, Nicki and I traveled together to their wedding, leaving Pittsburgh behind for a long weekend. Ryan and I photographed the wedding while Nicki was a member of the bridal party. She said that Therasa had…
