Turkey Bowl 2009
This year’s Turkey Bowl was awesome! This is the third year for the event and the best yet. Flag (aka tube sock) football played on a 40-yard long field (often crooked) on Thanksgiving morning. Each team has a QB or sometimes the two teams share a quarterback. Only one running play is allowed per set of downs. There is one “first down” progression and everyone is a receiver. Sometimes there is a huddle, but no set plays, really. Pretty much the best way to play football. Here is event organizer ( and best sister ever, Nicki) modeling this year’s shirts. The black team waiting to play. A fierce bunch. Uncle…

Silas – Pittsburgh Childrens Photographer
After seeing Jessi and Benjamin’s wedding, mom Ashley contacted me to take photos of her one-year old son, Silas. He is absolutely adorable and blue-eyed here at 364 days old. We took some portraits, but mostly spent time playing and being loved by mom and dad. Reading These are my favorites from the day. So simple and cool. Happy little family! Silas lives on the Southside with an incredible view of Pittsburgh (and Oakland too!) That wind blowing in their hair. Silas loves to play on the bed. Here he is a tiger! We beat the rain and spent some more time at Schenley Park for part two of the…

Jill and Todd’s November Wedding – Wedding Photographer Pittsburgh
On Saturday I joined Jill and Todd for their wedding at the beautiful St Philips Church in Crafton, Pennsylvania. Jill got ready at her parents’ house and she looked spectacular! Still can’t believe this November weather. Jill holding a photo of her mom preparing for her own wedding. We took a similar photo with Jill standing in front of this same dresser that belonged to her grandmother. Jill and Todd to the altar! We had nearly two hours between the end of the ceremony and the beginning of the cocktail hour, so we made three stops for photographs. The first stop was at the West End Overlook. Jessi and Benjamin are married! – Wedding Photographer Pittsburgh
On Saturday I traveled to the south hills to photograph Jessi and Benjamin’s wedding. Perhaps you remember Jessi and Benjamin in July from their Engagement session in the Strip District from July. They are SO MUCH FUN and I was very happy to be with them. Jessi’s awesome dress. Jessi putting on her beautiful dress. I love Keagan on the phone. Real laughs Jessi and Benjamin saw each other at a private meeting before the wedding. They got to spend a few moments alone. Truly a rare occasion on a wedding day. Once they had their private moments, we took a TON of photos with the two of them together.…

Jamie and Ben – Butler County Conservancy Photography
I used to work with Ben at Burt Hill. During an office renovation, we sat together surrounded by people from a different department. Bonding occurred. Ben’s sister, Lexi, got married in August and both Ben and his wife, Jamie, were in the bridal party. At Angie and Alex’s wedding, Ben was a guest while Jamie was the maid of honor. Now they are pretty much bridal party professionals. After seeing so many awesome and fun photographs of people they knew, they wanted some of their own. We met at Butler County Conservancy (the same place where I met Ben’s sister, Lexi in June for Lexi and Josh’s Engagement Photos ).…
