Jess and Jason’s Engagement Photos at Ohiopyle
Oh facebook. How I love/hate you. So often you are wasting my time. But other times you are helping me share my photography with the world, and more importantly, helping great people find me. Thankfully, the latter is true for Jess and Jason, who found me after seeing Shannon and Derek’s Engagement Photos posted on facebook. Fast forward to…now, time for their engagement photos. I really love when couples choose a place that is significant to them for their photos. Since Jason proposed to Jess in Niagara Falls, Canada, we knew that a waterfall was the perfect place for them. We all drove to Ohiopyle on a Monday night for…

Chrissy and Sean’s Engagement Photos
I was very excited to meet Chrissy and Sean. Not only are we alumni of the same university, Carnegie Mellon, but we also have a similar story to how we met our future spouses. Like Ryan and I, Chrissy and Sean also met during their first year of college in first year housing. Last weekend, I met with them at a the Darby Downs Equestrian Center in Irwin, Pennsylvania where Chrissy works a few days a week with horses. I was so excited that we got the change to make these photos at a place so beautiful that was so important to Chrissy. Such a beautiful day! I hardly had…

Jenna and Jordan’s Engagement Photos
Tuesday afternoons are excellent when you get to spend them with your camera and an awesome couple. That’s what my Tuesday was like with Jenna and Jordan. Jenna and Jordan met and started dating at Westminster College. They’ll celebrate their fantastic fall wedding there this October and I’m so excited to be there for it! We took some photos in Phipps, just for fun. The butterflies in the forest wouldn’t cooperate in posing for a photo. Plus it was really really hot in that room. I love these two. They are so cute together. My favorite off-camera light….the sun! Jenna = gorgeous. Jordan = handsome. Jenna+Jordan = love. Seriously, I…

Jenn and JC’s Wedding
On Saturday, I joined Jenn and JC for their very emotional wedding day. When I arrived at Jenn’s parents’ home in the morning, the girls were dressed and ready to be photographed. We took some family photos outside, then stayed inside to cool off before the wedding. Nicki was kind enough to join me for the day, first capturing this photo at the church. JC was super nervous. This was the first time I’d met him. He was definitely having an out of body experience. Jenn told me that one of the most important photos for her was to see JC’s expression as she came down the aisle. Photo by…

Alison and Paul on the Cover of a Magazine
Good news, everyone! Alison and Paul are featured of the Tribune Review Wedding Essentials Magazine! Wedding Essentials Magazine is a quarterly publication, this time exploring “Non-Traditional Wedding Venues” in the Pittsburgh area. I like the sound of that…. Here is the featured photo from their wedding at the Great Hall of the Heinz History Center last fall. And here is the final cover. So a little different from what I shot, and some distracting elements were removed to make room for the text too. All of the changes were made with my permission, of course. I’m very excited for Alison and Paul too! When I asked for Alison’s permission to…
