Casey and Jonas’s Wedding at the Grand Ballroom at The Omni William Penn
Casey and Jonas love being in the city even though their relationship began in the mountains of West Virginia. Casey and Jonas met when they were in college at the same time at West Virginia University and enjoy spending time in both city and country. I came to know them when Nicki and I photographed Casey’s sister Sara’s wedding last year in June. Last weekend their wedding was held at St John Capistran Catholic Church followed by an amazing reception in the Grand Ballroom of the Omni William Penn Hotel in Downtown Pittsburgh. The ballroom looked incredible filled with fantastic details from Allison McGeary Creative. DJ Bob Hartnett of All Pro USA had the dance…

Karen and Jamie’s Urban Engagement Photo Shoot
Karen and Jamie met through mutual friends. They both moved to Chicago independently after college and started dating after attending the same Christmas party. They’ve lived in different areas around Chicago and were eager to have photos taken in the city where they spend most of their time. They’re planning their wedding that will take place in Pittsburgh this fall at Westminster Presbyterian Church followed by a reception at The Twentieth Century Club. Enjoy some of their fun, urban engagement shoot photos and get ready to salivate (dear Pittsburgh residents) over the beach photos we took on the shores of Lake Michigan. Congratulations, Karen and Jamie! I can’t wait to…

Rachel and Devin’s Wedding at The Mansions on Fifth
Rachel and Devin have great taste in everything. Their wedding had a classic look, great style, gorgeous flowers, beautiful food, and happy family and friends. Even though it was very hot and humid, Rachel and Devin were wearing the best accessory of all–huge smiles all day. Rachel and Devin chose The Mansions on Fifth for their ceremony and reception. Their flowers (from designer Rachel at Hepatica) were reminiscent of an English garden. The remainder of the reception were some meaningful dances and speeches followed by a rocking house party fueled with music from DJ Bill Bara. Nicki was shooting with Rachel and me all day, but this time she was making a cinema for Syncopated…

Jamie and Mark’s Engagement Scavenger Hunt in Downtown Pittsburgh
Like most newly engaged couples, Jamie and Mark were a bit nervous to be photographed by a professional photographer. But there is nothing to be worried about when I’m behind the camera because its my job to make my clients look and feel good. Jamie and Mark’s super clever maid-of-honor Carly created a scavenger hunt to distract them from the camera as we made our way though Downtown Pittsburgh at their engagement shoot. Carly provided a series of clues to guide us to interesting, photo-worthy places around the city. Each time they reached the designation, I’d provide the next clue. We had a wonderful time together at their shoot. I’m…

Kelly and David’s Wedding at The University Club in Pittsburgh
Kelly and David were married on Saturday at Sacred Heart Parish in Pittsburgh’s Shadyside neighborhood. They wanted their wedding to be relaxed, fun. They wanted everyone to have a great time and not have to wait too long for the fun to begin. Kelly and David met before their wedding to take their portraits so they were able to attend their entire cocktail hour on the beautiful, sunny rooftop deck of the University Club. Nicki and I were lucky enough to be able to capture these great memories for them. Gida’s Flowers provided the beautiful flowers and bouquets and DJ Mad Mike from Modern Era Weddings provided great music.
