Carla and Mike’s Engagement Session on the North Shore
Maybe Carla and Mike should have met in college. Carla was going to Carnegie Mellon (yay, she was in my graduating class!) while Mike was going to Pitt. But they didn’t meet in college. They met years later and immediately liked each other. What’s not to like? They’re both smart, adorable, and love to have fun. Here are some of my favorite photos from their engagement photo shoot on Pittsburgh’s North Shore This is pretty hot! Mike did a great job choosing Carla’s ring all by himself. We finished our shoot on Mt Washington with a dramatic sky. Congratulations, Carla and Mike! I’m so excited for your wedding in April.

Alicia and David’s Engagement Session at North Park
Last week I met Alicia and David for their engagement photo shoot at Pittsburgh’s North Park. It was a beautiful morning with lots of great light and beautiful locations. Alicia and David live in the North Hills and spend a lot of time together in the park. Enjoy a few of my favorites from their session. Sometimes I say things like “sit right here and have a happy conversation.” Look how cute they are without any other coaching from me. Congratulations, Alicia and David! I’m so excited for your wedding next month!

Carmen and Vince’s Wedding at the Heinz History Center
Carmen and Vince met when they were both working for Fair Trade companies. Carmen was living in DC and Vince was living in San Francisco. At a work event in New York City, Carmen and Vince were the first people to arrive at a work-related dinner when everyone else was very very late. They got to know each other and started their bi-coastal relationship, spending many hours on cross-country flights. Both Carmen and Vince have planned many events related to their jobs. When I talked to Carmen about their wedding, she claimed this event was slightly easier to plan than work events because it was in one language, traded one…

Kacey and Nate’s Enagement Session in Aspinwall
Kacey and Nate are my neighbors in Aspwinall. They love Aspinwall; I love Aspinwall. Though they live in an apartment now, but Kacey lived on my street for ten years while she was growing up. I didn’t live here at that time, but it would have been cool to be her neighbor. I’m pretty sure that they contacted me after doing a search for local photographers. I’m so happy that they did! Kacey and Nate met when they were in business school together at West Virginia University. Together they enjoy running, working out, and cooking on their barbeque grill. When I met them for an initial interview, I mentioned the…

The newest Mr. & Mrs. Voss–Steve and Robyn!!!
I’m so excited to share this wedding today. It was beautiful, fun, fantastic, and I got to see so much of my family! Ryan and I really enjoyed this trip to Minnesota. We had four days of family fun including a wedding rehearsal on Thursday, a Groom’s dinner on Friday, the wedding day on Saturday and gift opening during Sunday brunch. For most families, this might seem like a lot of events, but it barely gave me enough time to visit with Ryan’s huge immediate family and all of my new in-laws. Robyn and Steve have been together since 2005 when they met at work at the local pool. They’ve been…
