Holly and Nick’s Winter Wedding at Phipps Conservatory
Holly and Nick went to the same high school, but never spoke to each other. They met (or re-met?) at a casual high school reunion on the day after Christmas. They caught up with old friends, and then the two of them shared a conversation until 5 a.m. the next day. They obviously liked each other enough to meet up again and share their first kiss a couple of days into the New Year. If you haven’t noticed already, this couple has a lot of significant relationship milestones around Christmas. Then there is the obvious fact that her name is Holly and his name is Nick (short for Nicholas). Their…

2011 Pick for the knot – best of weddings
Winner winner, chicken dinner. I just learned last weekend that Randi Voss Photography was selected at a 2011 pick for The Knot Best of Weddings. What does it mean? It means that brides from this year have written rave reviews about our photography work. And the knot has reviewed those comments and selected us as one of the best on their website. We are so honored to receive this since it comes directly from our clients. Thank you all! Special thanks to those clients who wrote such kind reviews. Double special thanks to Nicki, Ryan, and anyone who shot with me this year.

Anna and Greg’s Winter Wedding
Ryan and I spent last weekend in lovely, slightly warmer weekend Northern Virginia for Anna and Greg’s wedding. Anna’s mom was a guest at Sara and Nigel’s wedding last year and asked me to photograph her daughter’s wedding this year. Anna and Greg were married last weekend in Warrenton, Virginia. Their wedding ceremony was at Saint John the Evangelist Church followed by a reception at Alwyngton Manor. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Check out that mistletoe in the background. Pattie, Anna’s mom, presented Anna with a few things old, blue, and borrowed since “everything [Anna] is wearing is new.” That little bundle was tied to Anna’s bouquet as…

Christine and Shawn’s Wedding at the Heinz History Center
When I met Shawn and Chris, I was pleasantly surprised at the unique vision they shared for their wedding day. They both described how their families were so important to them, so they wanted to focus on photography of their families as well as everyone having a great time. As the final wedding to end the regular season, Ryan and I had the extreme pleasure of photographing Christine and Shawn’s wedding at the Heinz History Center. As usual, I started with Christine and her bridesmaids getting ready. Christine’s makeup by Greg from Lightko Studios They elected to see each other before the wedding in a first look meeting. Somehow, we…

Jen and Marc’s Wedding at Heinz Chapel and the Heinz History Center
Jen and Marc met while they were students at the University of Pittsburgh, and on Saturday, they were married after being together for seven years. They wanted their wedding day to be “a really fun party,” and that is what they got! First, they exchanged vows and rings at beautiful Heinz Chapel. Then, the bridal party stopped for lunch at Primanti Brothers in the South Side, and finally to one of the best places in Pittsburgh to have a really fun party–Heinz History Center. I began my day photographing Jen and her bridesmaids and “Men of Honor” downstairs in Heinz Chapel. Ryan was upstairs and got this fantastic shot of…
